Boycott time

Various companies have cut ties with the NRA:

A cybersecurity firm. Six car rental brands. A home security company. An Omaha bank. Companies are scrambling to cut ties with the National Rifle Association.

The list, so far, is composed of:

  • First National Bank of Omaha
  • Rental car companies Enterprise, Alamo, National, Hertz, Avis, and Budge
  • Moving van lines Allied and North American
  • Insurance companies MetLife and Chubb
  • Anti-virus company Symantec
  • Home security company SimpliSafe
  • Wyndham Hotel Group

It seems to me they need to have a lesson in economics. There are a lot more gun owners who are members of, or are supportive of, the NRA than there are people who support the anti-gun agenda.

  1. And the smart money is betting that those massive amounts of negative NRA emails are being/have been generated by bots; especially considering the speed at which they apparently arrived.

  2. I am more than happy to be on board with a boycott of any and all of the company’s listed. I already am against Nationwide and I dropped Progressive a wile back.

  3. My money is scheduled to be transferred out of my First National Bank of Omaha account the day after interest is paid on March 1. The phone call to request closure of the account will be fun.

  4. The list is bigger than you think:

    1. Met Life

    2. Symantec

    3. Best Western

    4. Wyndham

    5. Alamo

    6. National Pro
