I’d also like to, and I may get in trouble with other members of the committee, just say how insane it is that in the United States of America a civilian can go out and buy a semi-automatic assault rifle like an AR-15.

  1. It is insane than a man can get that far along in life, in this country, with no understanding, no idea, no clue, no inkling, of the American founding principles or how they work.

    That’s giving Dean Winslow every benefit of the doubt, attributing his comment to mere ignorance rather than malice against the U.S. constitution and the principles for which it stands.

    In either case, no one with that sort of attitude belongs anywhere near a government position. Whether by hook or by crook, they are enemies of the state in the primary sense of the term, for they cannot grasp (or will not accept) even so much as the concept of liberty, the very essence of America, referring to it as “insane”.

    • On top of that, he’s nominated to the PENTAGON, the top war-making office-building in the world, and he’s utterly ignorant of even the most basic military technology: “semi-automatic assault rifle” is an oxymoron, said by an actual moron.

      • Is he truly ignorant or is he playing ignorant for one of several possible reasons?

        Can one speak the plain truth and expect to remain in federal employ, or must one pander to various anti-American interests to avoid their ire and thus fly in under the radar? Or does one wrongly believe that such interests must be pandered to, and if so is it out of ignorance, cowardice, greed, a lack of faith, or some combination thereof?

        It begs the question, which it seems must be asked of everyone in and around The Swamp;

        “What did you know, when did you know it, and when and why did you decide to quit knowing it?”

        Inquiring minds want to know.

  3. The key question is: who proposed to nominate this idiot, and who were the people who agreed to that proposal? And why are they still working in the administration?
