Spent my weekend preparing to move due to repeated threats from gun control advocates.
One guy hunted down my private cell phone number, called when police were here, threatened to shoot me in my front yard. Another guy created a string of social media accounts, posted photos of my house, threatened to rape me to death. Another gun control advocate, after threatening to hunt me down and assault me, dragged my kids into it.

[Violence. It’s the nature of the political left.
The scumbags of the political left did the same sort of thing to Michelle Malkin a few years ago. (I suspect it continues to this day). I set up a honey pot for catching those threatening Malkin. The link below is another honeypot. If you link to it from your website/blog using the appropriate text it will get more Google Page Rank and appear closer to the top of search engine results.
Since cell phones have caller ID, tracking down and arresting at least one of those criminals should be a trivial exercise, right?
You would think so. Even if caller ID was blocked the cell provider should have records which would reveal the owner of the originating phone.
You assume that law enforcement would bother.
I took a screenshot of this message I got last night.
Ahh… Yet another example of diversity and tolerance from the left.
I hate to say it; moving and hiding is chum in the water to the sharks, provoking more aggression.
The best response is probably nothing, but an immediate, overwhelming counter attack against the perps is good too.
No one said it would be easy.
No one said it would be fair.
I know; I’m saying this from the relative comfort of my office (wherein, by the way, I was told by someone who will for now remain nameless, “I will DESTROY you!!”). It is nonetheless true.
They get to you through emotion. Emotion is the nose ring by which Loesch is being controlled, and once it takes hold she would lash out against you for pointing it out.
I know; “Lyle, you don’t understand what it’s like…”. Well never mind then. Keep running. Keep giving ground to the worst behavior on the planet, and see where that takes us.
You have a valid point, but it’s still a tough decision to make. Kids in school make the “attack surface” a lot larger and raises ethical questions about putting others at risk.
Plus, we don’t really know if she did in fact move. It could just be a ruse. Or even part of a trap set up with assistance from law enforcement.
True. But an answer of the form “if you attack me, I will kill you. If you attack my children, I will hunt you down and kill you and all your family” might be effective.
