Quote of the day—U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris

It’s long past time we renew the assault weapons ban in this country. It is in the best interest of keeping all of us safe.

  1. Of course she’s from the People’s republic of California, whose politicians routinely embrace victim disarmament and total gun confiscation. Feinstein is a particularly notorious example.
Let’s hope Calexit passes soon, so we’ll be rid of these people.

    • We could not get that lucky.

I really wish California would secede, so that the liberty minded folks who still live there would finally get out, and people who want to live in a gun free utopia could move there and stop voting for liberals in the remaining free states.

Really seems like a win-win to me.

    • But Leftists don’t ever move to Leftist paradises. They stay where they are and vote for representatives and laws that soil their own nests, turning them into dysfunctional cities and states until they move to another place and start over again. “Oh, California did this, it sounds nice for the poor people there, we should do it here.”

  2. What most of those agitating for Calexit don’t understand is that the resulting CA won’t resemble the original state. They’ll retain the coastal area, about 60 miles wide at most, and the section that borders Mexico.
And maybe some of the central valley, if they are lucky. Probably not, though, if they get promised the water that the state has taken away from them for the snail darter idiocy.
Good luck with them retaining water rights to feed SF/Bay Area and LA, though. THAT might end up being a major problem for them. Lassoed icebergs, anyone?

    • The problem is the same as in the civil war. It could fracture the Union further, but we don’t have to fight them. Just cut off trade and blockade the ports. No water, no power, no food, no communication in or out. We’ll check in again in 10 years or so.

  3. Cal-exit is fine with me so long it is just their liberal enclaves and exclude people like me who are in-land.

These fools want to set up a non-viable liberal fairy land supported by unicorns.

Let’s see how long they last when they pander to every grievenance group and weird special interest and depravity with their unrealistic budget priorities.

Think Detroit poverty combined with Chicago drugs and gang violence.

    • True. It should be done by county, and only those counties who vote for exit get to be part of the People’s Republic of West California.

  4. We need Cal Exit. Where else are we going to deport all the raving lefties to? Beats free helicopter rides..
