Quote of the day—Kim Rhode

The second amendment was put in there not just so we can go shoot skeet or go shoot trap. It was put in so we could defend our first amendment, the freedom of speech, and also to defend ourselves against our own government.

  1. The reason the Second Amendment is feared and hated by the ruling elites today is because with it, the people may not be able to prevail in resisting tyranny, but they will definitely make the result more expensive than expected, if not a pyrrhic victory.

Disarming or punishing people who have not done the wrong the disarming is supposed to protect against is at best unconstitutional prior restraint, and at worst a revelation of treasonous intent.

  2. After reading the article, and her statements regarding passing her vintage firearms to her children, I have only one response: move to free America, and leave the California People’s Republic far behind. You’ll be happier for it.

    • That was my thought too. Why stay? I try to avoid even visiting oppressive states and spending money there.

      • My excuse is that I’m close to retirement and all my licenses are from California and all my family except for 4 in Oregon which is pretty left in the government, too.
I vote in every election for the most conservative candidate I can, and haven’t voted for a Democrat here since 1986, although fat lot of good that’s done. My brother seems to be gradually coming around, though. Being a landlord in a very Leftist city will do that.
