Quote of the day—Toastrider

Once people start taking responsibility for their own safety, they begin to move away from the progressive lie. Even if they still hold such beliefs, they will find themselves labeled as heretics because personal responsibility is anathema to progressivism.

The good news is that those of us who value autonomy and liberty will welcome them in with open arms.

  1. It’s a double loss for the criminal class. It’s not just that the Progressive Marxists lose a member of their coercion-based alliance when someone converts to the notion of self reliance and responsibility. They also gain an enemy.

Taking responsibility for your own safety, your own defense, is especially heinous. When we discuss personal defense, or personal safety, FROM WHAT, EXACTLY are we defending ourselves? Coercion, that’s what, and coercion is that very thing which the left loves, promotes, defends, and grows.

Therefore, when you switch over to self reliance and responsibility, and you’re clear and certain about it, you are an apostate. You’re a traitor of the worst possible kind. The worst thing anyone can do is live an honest life, free of angst, and become confident and prosperous because of it. Your very existence is a threat to the Dark Side.
