I’M NOT AGAINST GUNS AND I’M NOT AGAINST PEOPLE OWNING GUNS. AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO ME IN PARIS, I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO BE SAFE AND TO HAVE ARMED SECURITY. ALL OF MY SECURITY TEAM IS ARMED, BUT THEY ALSO SUPPORT STRICTER GUN CONTROL LAWS AND BELIEVE THAT WE SHOULD RESTRICT ACCESS TO FIREARMS FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, ANYONE PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF A MISDEMEANOR, THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AND THOSE AT A HIGHER RISK OF COMMITTING GUN VIOLENCE.
I HOPE THAT WE WON’T BECOME NUMBED BY THE INCREASING NUMBER OF GUN-RELATED TRAGEDIES WE SEE ON THE NEWS. WE ALL HAVE A VOICE AND A RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE, TO BE PROTECTED FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE A THREAT, PARTICULARLY WHEN HANDED A DEADLY WEAPON. I WANT TO HELP BUILD A SAFER FUTURE FOR MY CHILDREN AND I BELIEVE TOGETHER WE CAN FIND WAYS TO DO THAT, WHILE STILL PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

I recognize the difficulty the anti-gun people have in getting knowledgeable people to support their side, but they really should keep highly visible dimwits on a shorter leash. This dimwit is advocating for the denying someone convicted of shoplifting a jar of baby food 30 years ago their specific enumerated right to keep and bear arms. On top of that she believes she has a right to feel safe and to be protected.
However, the topper is that one paragraph after advocating for the explicit infringement upon the rights of people she claims, “we can find ways to do that, while still protecting the rights of the American people”. You can’t find ways to infringe upon the rights of people while protecting their rights.

Describing this trollop as having “crap for brains” is being generous. Normally, I studiously avoid reading anything about this clan of grifters or those that I perceive as being similar to them.
Their speaking about “rights” is simply more spittle running out of their slack jawed and empty heads.

Please note, too, that in many cases all that is required to get a temporary restraining order issued is for someone to state that they are scared of you. Having a permanent order requires evidence and is subject to fairly reasonable legal protections against abuse. The temporary is supposed to be an emergency measure and thus does not require anything more than your word. And according to her, we should lose our gun rights because someone said something.
Yeah, armed security for wanna-be porno-stars, but Joe Normal, not so much. And of course her F**%ing “security jakes” don’t think anyone except for themselves should be armed. Most of them are wanna-be-but-couldn’t-make-it cops or retired same.
If she really has “guards” who oppose the right to bear arms, that means she actually hired some uniformed monkeys who are incapable of thinking, and therefore incapable of protecting. Real guards would know better.

The level of hypocrisy barely registers in her mind. She tries a bit, but dismisses her armed security details with that wave of her elitist hand. They supposedly are all on board for more strict gun control. I call bullshit. They bring their weapons home to protect themselves and their families and will nod yes to this twit to keep their jobs.
What gets me the most is this implied accusation that we do not really care about personal safety and our kids as much as liberals do. It’s just that we cannot afford private security details and know that evil exists and so we prepare personally for it.
Also, totally short on specifics. I too want rainbows, unicorns, and candy falling from the sky, but without a viable plan it is just virtue signaling. No firearms rights for those with misdemeanors (you mean like for littering?), temporary restraining orders (I can print out one of those from on-line sources), mental illness (like having a bout of depression) and my favorite, those at a higher risk of committing gun violence (so I guess she now has “Minority Report” Pre-Crime prediction capabilities).
Just like Maxine Waters, please let morons like this keep talking and discrediting their side even further.
