Quote of the day—Alan Korwin

If you substitute “colored people” every time you read “people of color” as you follow the so-called “news” the racism is glaring. The grammatical difference is tiny. The substantive difference is enormous. Left-wing racists insist on singling out people based on race, and name calling. Conservatives, centrists and moderates (almost the same thing) never do, because they shy away from racism and calling people colored (“of color”). It’s just not right. It’s left.

“People of Color” Is Racism

  1. A related point is that the PC term of today is the unacceptable term of next year. Trace out the terminology for what was somewhere in that series called “handicapped”. Or high-melanin people. Or any of the other special categories the left insists on distinguishing even as they claim that making distinctions based on categories is what the bad guys do.

  2. “People of Color” is code for “Colored People”.
It’s also a dog whistle for racists.
Just to use the leftists’ words on them.

  3. Technically, I think we would call this reverse racism.

“Colored people” was a euphemism, used by people (whom we latter-day folk would call racist) who meant “black”. (I was too young to pay attention in the 1960s, but I’m not aware the term was ever used for Hispanics, Asians, etc.)

“People of color”, by contrast, is used by people to describe themselves, and it means “anything but white”. That’s reverse racism. (Reverse racism is, of course, racism.)
