Quote of the day—Alison Wimmer

They are like 2nd graders on the playground. “You cannot play with my ball. You can’t have it.” I hope the secret service does take their guns. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Big guns, oh my! They must be overcompensating for a lack somewhere else, like bravery, self esteem or some part of their anatomy.

[It’s another Markley’s Law Monday!

And don’t ever let anyone get away with telling you that no one wants to take your guns.

Woo hooo! We start the new year with a double cliché score!—Joe]

  1. Someone has failed to understand the concept of property.

This is a new spin, and anything new from the Progressives is big news! Instead of forcibly disarming us, now they just want to play with our guns for a while.

Tell that to the Weaver family of Ruby Ridge, or to those at Waco, Texas.

Well, Progressives; we can find guns enough to go around. You can play with a few of my guns, under close supervision, so long as they come home with me at the end of the day and you promise not to kill anyone this time. That, or take some safety lessons from the NRA, buy your own guns, and then take some shooting lessons from the network of NRA instructors. You’ll have to pass the background checks first though.

  2. That comment confuses me because we actually want everyone to be able to play with these balls if they want. Our goal is the opposite of what that comment said it is.

    Projection, pure and simple.

I like a debate, filled with facts and logic. They like to spout their talking points and go home (and take whatever debate we might have had with them). When challenged, it’s all “nuh uh, and you can’t prove otherwise.”

Ever see children try to decide anything by coin flip? They’ll call it, flip it, and someone will pick it up and announce the winner — but not let anyone else see the coin. “Let me see” is met with “No, and you can’t make me.”

Not at all unlike antis and their “facts”.
