Quote of the day—Ed Driscoll

Lefties always seem especially afraid of Ayn Rand supporters. I think that’s because — at least until recently — Randians were almost the only people on the right who were both unafraid of lefties and willing to call leftism, even in its comparatively mile FDR form, immoral. Both traits can be very triggering.

  1. Lefties are afraid of the truth, and so to the extent to which Ayn Rand represented the truth they are afraid of, and hate, her.

Like anyone else who reminds a lefty of the truth, they resort to attacking her personal flaws in an attempt at distraction. “Ignore and redirect” is always the name of the game.

By the way; it needs to be understood that fear and hate are two sides of the same coin. If you are afraid of something, ask yourself what it is, or who it is, you hate, and maybe then, through understanding, you can begin to allay your fear. The rank and file lefties revel in their fear. They accuse others of hate, when in reality they’re projecting their own hate.

  2. I don’t know about me being an Ayn Rand supporter. I’m certainly a reader, but she’s been dead now for several decades, she’s hard to support.

But, yeah, I get the point. Let Freedom Ring.
