She wanted to be president…

But she can’t use a calendar. I’m talking about Jill Stein, of course. She raised millions of dollars, ostensibly to do a recount of the ballots in three close states. But she missed the filing deadline for PA, so she can’t call for one even if she had the money to pay for it. I’m sure she’ll find something to do with that money, of course. But I wonder how many who donated will realize they’ve been duped (again)? And how many will realize that someone this flaky could not possibly have done a respectable job as president. Ever.

The arrogance of the left: Wants to run the biggest economy in the world, and has more than 1.2 million  votes for her to do it, but not only can’t run a scheduler, she can’t even be bothered to ask a supporter to do it for her.

  1. Stein isn’t behind this scam. A recount in those states would do NOTHING to
help her in any way win the election…even if she got 100% of the vote in those
three states. This con job is being perpetrated by the DNC, George Soros etc.
Stein had trouble raising any meaningful money to campaign with yet magically
she has come up with MILLIONS to pay for this ‘challenge’. The ONLY source
for this kind of fast cash is Soros via the DNC and Clinton Campaign people.

Don’t know what Stein was promised as a reward for doing this or what blackmail
material Clinton et.al have on her to get her involved but this has the fingerprints
of George Soros and the Clintons ALL OVER IT.

    • True enough. But whichever way (dumb, con, blackmailed or bought into such a divisive action, or something else more devious) she shouldn’t be in office, and her supporters are too dumb to be allowed to vote. She might (might!) be given the benefit of a doubt on good intentions in her run before, but not any more.

  2. I got this from a friend. Not sure of the accuracy of the info but if correct it may be part of the plan.

Federal law says that presidential recounts must be completed within 35 days after an election. Stein waited until 90 minutes before the Wisconsin deadline for filing a recount petition expired.

All the votes have to be certified by December 13 according to a report on Friday. The electors meet on December 19.

Wisconsin will almost certainly miss that deadline, since the last recount took more than a month. And that recount was for a state Supreme Court contest where only 1.5 million votes were cast.

If Wisconsin misses the December 19 deadline, the electoral votes may not be counted.

Stein is going to ask for a hand recount, which will slow the process even further.

    • I suppose it’s possible. But even if true, if the election results cannot be certified to allow the electors to vote, all that would do is remove them from the Trump column, and knocking points from him without adding them to the Dem side still doesn’t get her anywhere close, given that she’s still at 232 to Trump’s 306. They’d have to DQ 75 EC votes to put her ahead. PA (20) FL (27) WI (10) MI (16) adds up to 75 exactly. She’s have to DQ them ALL, or equivalent in other states.

      Not happening.

      • Furthermore… being ahead in electoral college votes isn’t sufficient. She actually has to flip them to her side, 38 of them. If she can’t do that, then she doesn’t get the majority. If some states don’t get to appoint electors, then the most that can do is deny both candidates the EC majority, which sends the election to the House (for President) and Senate (for VP). And given the membership of Congress, the outcome would be the same in that case.

  3. Rolf,
they may simply be going for a method of elevating civil unrest against Trump, by bringing into question the accuracy of the vote count. Knock out a few states this way, and you could have the Dems making a mess everywhere for a long time. Getting the population accustomed to that sort of activity with the resultant government responses, can leave room for mischief that could be very harmful in the long run.

  4. Frankly, I was surprised when Hillary conceded on the night of the election. (She can’t be giving up THAT easily, I thought.)

I was less surprised when I heard that Obama insisted that she do so. No love lost between those two.

And now I’m not surprised at all. It’s as if she’s screaming at us: “I didn’t make up enough phony votes! But if you give me more time, I can print some more! LOTS more!”

Good luck, Hillary. And good riddance.

  5. Now, who says that Stein isn’t a catspaw for the Clintons here, so the maneuver isn’t seen as coming from Clinton?
Sue for recount in enough states that take the total Certified votes for Trump below 270.
The suit, recount and certification cannot all take place before January 21.
Total Certified votes for Trump is no longer 270.
Either the vote goes to the House of Representatives or the House delays the deadline for certification.
DNC deems both results to be signs that Trump’s election is not legitimate, causing loss of nerve in the “White Knight” wing of the Republican Party*, thereby hobbling any changes that might come from a Trump Presidency.

And the “Not my President” and “Dissent is Patriotic” (again) Bumperstickers reappear.

I’ve learned a lot of very esoteric details about Congressional legislative procedure and Federal and State election procedure since President Obama took office (actually since his ops got the divorce papers of his first opponent for his first elected office unsealed over the objections of the man’s ex wife.
