Quote of the day—Julian Assange

My analysis is that Trump would not be permitted to win. Why do I say that? Because he has had every establishment off his side. Trump does not have one establishment, maybe with the exception of the Evangelicals, if you can call them an establishment. Banks, intelligence, arms companies, foreign money, etc. are all united behind Hillary Clinton. And the media as well. Media owners, and the journalists themselves.

  1. If you are taking flak, you are over the target…

Well, I don’t see anyone around taking more flak than Trump.

Today is Guy Fawkes’ Day, a traditionally British “holiday.” It’s also the day Anonymous said they’d be releasing some of the most damning evidence against “21 politicians and government officials.” I expect that will have made a lot of people in the DC area very nervous.

    Wait. Watch. Vote wisely.

Shock and awe will be seen on the faces of many a television anchor…. and it will be glorious!

  2. So in other words, we’re just beginning to see what’s been happening for around a hundred years. Were not media and individual journalists, et al, all in for Obama in 1012? 2008? All in for Bush in 2004? Apparently no one remembers the hysterical, years long, all-out media/establishment tantrum over the 2000 election. Also let’s not forget how the left/media/establishment swore eternal vengeance against America for putting Bill Clinton through a little bit of scrutiny over his lying under oath in the aftermath of the Lewinski scandal.

Go back every cycle and you’ll find the same sorts of things. No one remembers how the left/media/establishment reported the overwhelming blow against the communists in the Tet Offensive, as a defeat for the United States? No one remembers the glowing reports on the Soviet Union and their wonderful system of unity and equality? No one remembers FDR referring to Stalin as “Uncle Joe”? And for sure no one remember how the American Progressives in the early 20th Century were a significant inspiration for what became the Holocaust.

No, Young Grasshopper; the only thing that’s different now is that you’re juuuust beginning to see what’s been going on since your grandparents were babies.

  3. I’m not convinced that many of those giving flack to Trump don’t actually want him in office. He’s pretty much your run of the mill New York Progressive in terms of his world view and thought processes. About the only difference between him and Obama is Trump has actually accomplished a few things outside of rabble rousing, and Trump seems to (if we can believe him) think that the U.S. should have borders.

Neither one of them could articulate the American founding principles without assistance and both would still get it wrong because they wouldn’t have any basis for choosing said assistant. Neither one of them could change a tire, draw the simplest house wiring layout, tell you the difference between ethanol and methanol, or come close to giving you an accurate, brief history of U.S. second amendment violations.

If anyone believes that our national Salvation will come from a relatively ignorant, sequestered fancy boy with an entourage of advisors (or a barking bitch with her pack of dogs) in WA DC, they’re sadly unaware. It is that very notion, of looking up to an authority of our own creation as a leader, which got us into this sad situation in the first place. Those people are a reflection of the problem in us. They’re never the solution.
