Huh. Look at that. U.S. Code Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 101, Section 2071:
“(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”
Well, what do you know…. It doesn’t say “upon conviction….”. Hillary is DQ from being Prez. That might be an interesting point to bring up in the debates, or perhaps a campaign ad or two…. Might be fun to watch the Dems tap dance around it.

I doubt seriously that there is a single member of this administration who could successfully meet the requirements necessary to be granted the security level that I had carry in my work there.

Dunno. Maybe, maybe not. They have, as a percentage of population, a lot fewer immigrants than the US does, and a much shorter history of accepting them than us. They can go from peaceable to jack-boot far faster than most people realize.
That said, if they don’t get the nationalists in power soon, and start ejecting the undesirable immigrants, then they’ll get the ultra-nationalists in power, and the lucky immigrants will get out over the boarder before its too late and they only get shipped halfway back home across the sea.
Those in power routinely and willfully ignore such simple limitations as those imposed by the Bill of Rights. There are THOUSANDS of laws and judicial decisions that directly and blatantly violate our rights. Doesn’t bother those in charge. Do you really believe something as obscure as U.S. Code Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 101, Section 2071 will in ANY WAY stop those in power….or even slow them down. The Constitution is but a speed bump on the road to tyranny….all other laws are invisible to those who have immunity and are above the law.

It’s only ever been about one thing anyway; which side has your allegiance. Your allegiance will determine how you perceive, and react to, anything. Statistics and law have nothing to do with it. You have YOUR statistics, YOUR law and YOUR spin, and the opposing team has THEIR statistics, THEIR law and THEIR spin, and so on. They make their case to their team, and their team accepts it. Same with your team.
We’ve successfully eliminated any thought of fundamental right and wrong in some quarters. What ever happens after that is just the irrelevant filler, between the abandonment of principles and the inevitable mass destruction which results from the abandonment of principles. The filler could be anything. It doesn’t matter. The result will always be the same.
Yes, we are in many ways now in Solzhenitsyn’s USSR. Not a pleasant place, and utterly insane, something I’m just starting to come to terms with, but it at least is a framework that can be studied and worked with.
