Quote of the day—William Safire

Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our First Lady — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar.

Drip by drip, like Whitewater torture, the case is being made that she is compelled to mislead, and to ensnare her subordinates and friends in a web of deceit.

Essay;Blizzard of Lies
January 8, 1996
[Note the date. This was over twenty years ago and refers to Hillary Clinton.

Everyone who went through the Clinton Presidency knows that both Clintons are congenital liars. If you were too young at the time or have forgotten, please read the entire article. It became such a common occurrence that I suspect RESEARCHERS ANNOUNCE NEW MEDICATION FOR CONGENITAL LIARS was inspired by the Clintons.

At first my reaction to this lying was outrage. Then as it became expected it was mundane. Then, at the end of Bill’s last term in office, it became pathetic. Even the Democrats of the time stopped trying to defend them and just shook their heads each time another lie came out.

Our country shouldn’t have to endure another lying Clinton presidency.—Joe]

  1. “a woman of undoubted talents”

Is he referring to her ability to lie with a straight face?

Because, other than that, I have absolutely no doubt she’s lacking in a massive selection of “talents”.

  2. “shouldn’t have to endure”

    But we will.

Remember, it was the Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee who told Nixon to resign or be impeached and thrown out back in 1974 for his criminality.

The Democrats in 1996 decided that their hold on political authority was more important than the country, the rule of law, or respect for the office of the Presidency, and have held that view since then.

Get ready for years of cankle jokes from bloggers, hearing cackling laughter on the news, and oppression under corrupt government misrule as if the country was populated by Cherokee and Jackson was back in office.

  3. But we will. Not only that but this country will suffer in such a way that the hard reset will happen. I am expecting full blown civil war. I also expect when things get bad enough that she will start doing things like dropping cluster bombs razing whole neighborhoods to the ground.

I expect by 2020 the complete ban of gun ownership. And to have in possession of a gun to a punishable by death without trial. And by then Scotus will say its constitutional. And special camps and task forces set up for that purpose only. Clinton is cut from the same cloth as every other monster of the 20th century. To think otherwise is whistling past the graveyard

    • If that is attempted, we’ll see if Matthew Bracken was right. I expect the answer to be “yes”.

    • Ban on gun ownership.
Except for the government and its fellow-travelers, whom Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn referred to in the second volume of his Gulag Archipelago identified as ordinary criminals and thieves because they were also against private property.
(I think Joe cited this as a quote a few days ago, but it is worth re-emphasizing here and also because of CRAFT disease. 🙂
