I don’t know enough details to tell you how we would do it or how it would work, but certainly the Australia example is worth looking at.

Common sense gun laws lead to common sense search warrant laws, common sense freedom of association laws, and common sense speech and press laws (our lickspittle lackey “journalists” in the media likely would go along with that last even though they were the most outspoken in defense of the widest interpretation before they got the votes to rule).
We may even see if electronic surveillance will become the equivalent of quartering troops in people’s homes in peacetime., although on second thought it will be in time of war or the moral equivalent of, and therefore in a manner prescribe by law, as all the common-sense laws will be enacted.
