Boomershoot 2016 advertisement

For the first time ever I’m placing an advertisement in a local paper for Boomershoot. I have placed few classified ads in the past and one with Western Shooting Journal in 2013 with, as near as I could tell, zero return on my investment. This time it is with the Orofino Idaho paper the Clearwater Tribune.

Orofino is the closest town to Boomershoot and this is where the out of town participants find their hotel rooms.

Here is the ad which will be running in the weekly paper for the next three weeks:

I’m hoping to get some local people to participate. It’s rare than anyone closer than 50 miles away attend and I find that somewhat odd.

    • Yes. Of course. Anywhere. Even Brady Campaign and Mom’s Demand Action Facebook pages. 🙂

  1. 3-4 years ago, several guys from Nightforce set up next to us. Had a good time chatting with them and looking at their toys.

    • Yes. I knew that. Nightforce people were there two years in a row. I think they were the only people to participate that were closer than Moscow and Lewiston in the last 15 years.

      • Be cool if NF could coordinate ‘factory’ tours with Boomershoot weekend. Would probably get our group over there a day early. Special Boomershoot pricing would be icing on the cake. 🙂

  2. Were you aware that someone tagged the Boomershoot firing line in Google Maps and Earth?

Open either program, type in Boomershoot and BOOM (no pun intended) there you are!

  3. Even if you don’t sell any slots from the ads, getting awareness out to the locals will remove some of the “weirdness” and normalize the event.

If it’s from far away it’s more glamorous.

    • Of course! We have people coming from as far away as Maryland this year. Everyone who can play safe is welcome.
