It’s almost a Markley’s Law, but not quite, so I’m not making it a Markley’s Law Monday post. Besides, I’m not really hurting for material. Markley’s Law Mondays are already scheduled out through the middle of January 2017.

But note, as is typical with these type of people, they don’t even make sense grammatically. And even if you corrected the grammar they still wouldn’t make sense on any of several different levels.—Joe]

  1. Boy, that thread devolved fast! It’s interesting how quickly these inflated blowhards run out of steam when “having a conversation about guns.” He actually started out sounding reasonable – incorrect, but reasonable. Once his CPU was faced with actual evidence that his position was shaky, he fell back to the default anti-gun position: childish insults.

  2. “But note, as is typical with these type of people, they don’t even make sense grammatically. And even if you corrected the grammar they still wouldn’t make sense on any of several different levels.”

You realize, of course, that it’s racist, sexist, and several other -ists for you to point this out.

    • Even when I have no idea their race, sex, or nearly any other attribute about them?

If so, then I would like to also point out whoever makes such a claim has crap for brains.

      • Sarcasm, Joe.

I was simply trying to imagine the type of ludicrous comment a typical anti-gun SJW would post.

        • I knew you were being sarcastic. But I also know there are those who would make such claims. I was just making my response known should that come up.

          • Aha! Pre-empting my pre-emption, are you? Is that like double-secret probation?

  3. On a different level – it is undeniably true that many gun owners enjoy handling their firearms. (This is true of any tool one grows to trust, from hammers to cars.). And I can imagine hoplophobes reacting to that with disgust, such as we see above.

However, since America’s creators are invoked here, let me just point out that many of them must have been quite fond of their guns too. After all, they depended on their guns to feed their families.

So if one wanted to make the claim that America wasn’t created by, or for, people who love guns… I’d have to disagree. (Some old Kentucky rifles were quite lovingly decorated, as I recall…)

    • “On a different level – it is undeniably true that many gun owners enjoy handling their firearms. ”

Yes – but only anti-gun morons continually equate that with some kind of sexual impulse.

Which is why they should not be trusted with weapons or sex toys. They tend to confuse the two, and that results can’t be pretty.

      • It apparently has to do with a misquote of Freud. I haven’t found the actual quote yet, unfortunately.

This is a particularly good answer: “I’ve heard that phallic symbol argument before, and always from ineffectual people driven to make everyone else as helpless as they are. Who’s more confused, those who think weapons are sexual organs, or those who want to take everyone’s sexual organs away?” — Clarissa Olson, a character in “The Probability Broach” by L. Neil Smith.
