Quote of the day—Rana Florida

As citizens, we must all take a stand. March, protest, Facebook, Tweet, write your congressman, senators and legislators urging them to ban guns.

  1. It seems we have come full circle. It was ban them all, then when that became unatainable it turned into piecemeal confiscation schemes and calling us stupid for saying that they want to ban guns. Now they are out of the closet demanding confiscation again.

    What precipitated this?
Do they think they have a reallistic shot?
Are they playing the art of the deal tactics here, and hope we will agree to some partial steps that are not full on confiscation?

I hear drums in the jungle. What are they saying?

    • It’s the result of decades of smear against gun owners and against American principles. It succeeded on a lot of people, and now they’re simply expressing what’s been carefully, meticulously, methodically and systematically put into their heads.

It’s pretty simple; once you’ve been convinced that murdered kids and grieving, terrified families are the fault of law-abiding gun owners, the NRA and essentially the fault of the American Principles of Liberty, then of course you’ll oppose those things. You’ll be perfectly willing and even eager to see any kind of thuggery against those filthy bastards who advocate for the second amendment (which is the same thing as advocating for the murder of children and the oppression of the downtrodden everywhere).

As an American and as a supporter of the right to keep and bear arms, you’re nothing but a would-be child killer and an oppressor of the disadvantaged around the world. Of course you should be put down, and the sooner the better. Your very breathing is killing the planet too, so in the name of self defense, which you claim to support, you must be eliminated in defense of the planet and of all that is good.

I say we should be focusing on who is teaching people this sort of thinking, where it’s being done, and who’s paying for it. A long as that siren song continues to play, this is what we’ll get.

  2. friends:

it is kind of a matter of religious zeal with these people, sort of like the impulse for prohibition. and, in the end, it will go away, die of its own accord, and it will all be about as ineffectual and doomed to failure as prohibition.

they have to be resisted, even to the point of violence. you cannot use facts or persuasion to convince them of truth, because, they are already in possession of the only truth they need, and that is their “conviction.” substitute the word “faith” for that, and you understand them.

buy guns. buy ammo. become proficient in their manufacture and use. keep a weather eye out. and, be jealous of your liberty and right, and willing to defend it.

p.s. the “13 hours … of benghazi” is worth a watch. a very good movie.

  3. Isn’t it interesting that they so rarely say “this is what I will do”. Instead, they say “this is what YOU must do… and I will sit here and talk at you”.

    This is why they fail.
