I’ll believe it when the cell door clangs shut behind her

Via Glenn Reynolds, Don Surber says FBI headed for a showdown over Hillary :

“I believe that the evidence that the FBI is compiling will be so compelling that, unless [Lynch] agrees to the charges, there will be a massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an attorney general. It will be like Watergate. It will be unbelievable,” DiGenova said.

Speculation? Sure. We shall see.

By the way, you can run for president from federal prison. Keith Russell Judd received 41 percent of the Democratic primary vote in West Virginia in 2012 while sitting in a federal prison in Texas.

You might find it odd that people are speculating about her running for president while in prison. But, as in the case mentioned above, prison is frequently a credential for certain groups of people. It appears to have strong correlation with people who vote for democrats. Marion Barry and Judd, above, are but two examples. Victimhood is a sought out by these people and just as Hillary sought that with her claim of a “vast right-wing conspiracy” in the 1990’s she will claim arrest and prosecution for her crimes as a valid reason to vote for her.

I am quite willing to believe Hillary has engaged in more than sufficient criminal activity to put someone away for years if it had been committed by any ordinary person. Her husband didn’t spend any time in prison after all the crimes he committed. Why should it be any different for Hillary? I’ll believe she spends time in prison only after the cell door clangs shut behind her.

  1. DOJ maybe forced to bring charges but BHO will just pardon her, no doubt “for the good of the nation”. The Clinton Foundation will make a sizable donation towards the BHO Presidential library and the media will never mention this episode again.

  2. I am concerned when people write that Hillary would be in prison if she were an “ordinary person” because saying it that way makes the assumption, which favors her, that she is an extraordinary person, not ordinary at all.

She is in fact the most ordinary example of a corrupt, morally debased politician stereotype, with a long history of very ordinary lying, ethically wrong actions, malfeasance, money-grubbing and immoral support of other corrupt, lying politicians. She is even what used to be a stereotypical joke of a powerless woman – one whose husband is known abuser of women, an adulterer on a massive and public scale – that stays with the abusive spouse because without him she is nothing.

Hillary has money. She hires people to do mean things to her political enemies and her personal enemies, which makes some people afraid of her vindictive, revenge-filled behavior. But she is indeed very ordinary, in the most important use of that word.

Don’t look at her as anything but a piece of muck on the sole of your shoe, and your dealings with her will be much more sensible.

    • When I say that she won’t go to prison it’s not because I think she is a “special” person in the usual sense. I say that because I don’t believe we have rule of law in this country anymore. The laws are for the “little people”.

Hillary and Bill Clinton have been disgusting criminals for decades and deserve to spend the rest of their lives in prison and possible even executed for treason and/or other crimes. But I don’t believe it will happen.

  3. What Clinton is accused of is legally what they threw Bradley Manning in prison for and what they want to throw Ed Snowden in prison for. Yet Clinton gets to run for president.

I’ve got a security clearance and can’t even plug a flash drive into our unclassified network without drawing the wrath of IT and Security. If I had done what she did, I’d already be underneath gitmo, getting whatever is worse than waterboarding….

  4. The FBI is just saber rattling. They’ll bluster a bit just to remind everyone that the agency needs to be on the list when it comes time to hand out the goodies.

    • What other side?

That she is somehow innocent of strenuously circumventing standard security protocols for electronic data and having tons of classified material and e-mails unsecured?

This while she is Secretary of State, for all that is holy’s sake. It’s not like she was some stupid underling in the bowels of the State Dept.

I looked at the comments at the link and have confirmed that liberals and progressives lack a moral compass. They drink so much Kool-aid that if the current POTUS or this traitor conducted televised and web-cast child sacrifices in the Oval Office, they would yawn and think nothing of it. As predicted in Revelations, the rise of sin in the end times will be profound as evil people declare bad things good.

  5. Read the whole thing, particularly the email:

    http://hotair.com/archives/2016/01/08/whoa-hillary-e-mail-instructs-aide-to-transmit-classified-e-mail-without-markings/

    The smoking gun:

In response to Clinton’s request for a set of since-redacted talking points, Sullivan writes, “They say they’ve had issues sending secure fax. They’re working on it.” Clinton responds “If they can’t, turn into nonpaper [with] no identifying heading and send nonsecure.”

“Nonpaper” means “email”. This is the smoking gun that ought to send her to prison. I’ll be looking for it in the upcoming FBI report about her emails.
