My complete answer, off the record, is we should ban guns altogether, period.

  1. Translation: I want the power to do whatever I want, to whomever I want, whenever I want, and demand you become a virtual slave to my whim, but I don’t want you to actually publish that, because it’s bound to be unpopular among independent-minded folks.

A fool who understands neither history or Americans. Or, perhaps, he understands them fine, and wants to be on the tyrant side of the power balance.

  2. Want to know what happens when you ban guns in America?

Ask someone from Connecticut, or New York State. The police estimate how many of the banned guns are out there, and, if they’re lucky, they see 10% of that number turned in.

In short: this ain’t England, friend. This isn’t even Australia.
