The French have been working hard for years to show the Muslims that they mean them no harm. THAT, we are told, is how you get along in peace with people of other cultures, and if other people hate you then there must be a good reason; you need to look at yourself and see what you can do to make them stop hating you.
The French have also adopted the idea of massive violations of the right of honest citizens to keep and bear arms. Criminals will have whatever they want, but the honest must be disarmed.
Predictably then, we get this quote after last night’s coordinated jihad attacks in and around Paris. This was from someone at a rock concert;
“We lied down on the floor not to get hurt. It was a huge panic. The terrorists shot at us for 10 to 15 minutes. It was a bloodbath.” (That’s from CNN if you want to look. I’m not linking to them)
If all you can do is lie down and hope, while people around you are being shot, for 10 to 15 minutes, then your tactics suck. Dozens of people died on that scene, like the helpless sheep they worked so hard to become.
They’ve brought this upon themselves, I’m very sorry to say, and it’s difficult to have much sympathy for them. We’ve tried for years to warn them.
The left in the U.S. sees all this and says to themselves; “We totally need more multiculturalism and more gun control.” That attitude, that insanity, is the enemy as much as any jihadist, for it is that attitude that has emboldened the jihadists. They must be laughing their asses off at our stupidity.
At least portions of the population are waking up. Many already understand that uncontrolled immigration is NOT beneficial to the nation and that these usurpers are indeed illegal.
Likewise on “gun control” there are more folks realizing that the removal of firearms from the public is not an issue of safety but of control.
This scares the Progressive elites to death. Although I haven’t been a real fan of Trump, the reason he’s polling so high is that he’s saying what many feel and think. Only, it doesn’t fit the elite’s agenda, so he’s a buffoon, racist, demagogue, etc..,
Do I feel bad folks were injured and killed by these animals? Absolutely. But they should have not placed their own well being, safety and security in the hands of the State and its functionaries. If they choose not to arm themselves and then complain of lying on the floor for safety while someone shoots the shit out of them, well my sympathy is quite diminished.

Note that they didn’t attack an actual heavy metal band, where the crowd actually believes “better to die on your feet than grovel on your belly.” They attacked a concert where the band had an “ironic” name.
I am reminded of the words of the late Col. Jeff Cooper. The best response to an attack is an immediate, overwhelming counter attack. When asked whether violence didn’t merely beget more violence, he said that it was his sincere endeavor to see to it that it does– Anyone who offers violence to his fellow Man should receive more violence in return than he can handle.
Progressives would have us ignore the truth of the matter, and that is because they would be our masters. They would have us chasing phantoms, and paying for it in blood, just for the satiation of their power lust. If we allow ourselves to be influenced by them, then we will have asked for our own undoing.
Destabilization via jihad is only one front in this multi-front war against human liberty. Therefore when we see something like this, we should be looking around full circle, because a clever Progressive always seeks to take advantage of any crisis, real or imagined.
I remember a local politician who apparently was a WW2 veteran, though you couldn’t tell from his politics. He made that “violence doesn’t solve anything” comment in an op-ed in the local newsrag. I replied with a letter (I don’t remember if it was published) asking if he thought that violently responding to Hitler hadn’t solved anything.
What these events — as well as the similar ones in Umpqua — have shown is not just the evil consequences of victim disarmament, but also the evil consequences of schools indoctrinating the culture of helplessness. While clearly your odds are lousy if you go up unarmed against maniacs with guns, they are better than if you just lie down cringing on the floor. Col. Cooper understood this; so did the passengers on Flight 77.
