Quote of the day—esquire2

Hillary could become the 1st Woman POTUS serving from INSIDE a federal prison … The DNC can still get her elected.

Comment to Hillary Clinton vows to be gun-control president
[I had to think about this for a bit.

Hmm… That’s probably true. Not particularly likely. But I think it is possible.

More likely is that there is more than enough evidence available such that the general public know it would convict any ordinary citizen and keep them in prison for a long time. But Ms. Clinton will get a pass because the law only applies to the little people. She then gets elected while laughing off the felony charges.

Even more likely is that she isn’t elected and nothing happens in regards to all the crimes she has committed.—Joe]

  1. I had noticed earlier that there’s no specific prohibition against felons, convicted or still serving sentences, from being President.

Not that I think she’ll be convicted, or even tried, either, but it would amuse the hell out of me if she were.

    • And she’d track her own whereabouts on a personal server in the basement of her house.

  2. Rule of law? What rule of law? Should we vote for Caesar? Or Pompey? Someone needs to stop the invading barbarian hoards.

  3. Yep. We’ve elected felons before (Marion Barry, I believe); we’ve also elected dead people to the U.S. Senate (Earl Long, brother of Huey). This goes back a long way — many Americans were scandalized that a sitting U.S. Vice President, Aaron Burr, was essentially getting away with the murder of Alexander Hamilton.

It would be funny to see Hillary elected from within a prison cell… and then see her pardon herself, and then take vengeance on all who sent her to prison. It would be funny, I imagine, for all of fifteen minutes…

  4. You are wrong in thinking that Hillary won’t be elected. Who among the Republican field can challenge her brazen contempt for honesty? None so far. Who among Dems can stop her from winning the nomination? Sanders? Ha, right, after the college kids go back to campus he has no votes other than in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Hillary is a ruthless corrupt politician with the support of the Dem establishment, their compliant media, their get-out-the-vote machine and a vagina. There is no stopping her from being the first female president, just as there was no stopping Obama from being the first black president.

And may God have mercy on us, for Hillary will have none.

    • Ah, but what a legacy – as the Clintons have always yearned for. Having CWII break out under your watch should earn a place in the history books.
