  1. Courts often interpert legislation based on “legislative intent”. Since this was a ballot referendum voted on by the people does this mean the court has to interpert I-594 based on the plain language of the act?

    • Is there a judge in the country who is capable of doing that? I can’t remember seeing any.
It would be entertaining to ask a lawyer (or a nominee for judge) to explain the meaning of “shall make no law” or “shall not be infringed”. It’s pretty clear from the record of the past 200 years that none of them have a clue what the English language means.
