Quote of the day—formerChild

Guns are just viagra for these guys. They’re incapable of sustaining an erection without one in their hand (a gun, I mean).

Comment to NRA Warns Men: If You Let Your Wife Do Gun Control, Your Peen May Fall Off
[It’s another Markley’s Law Monday!

The article and most of the comments are Markley’s law material. It’s as if they are obsessed with genitalia. I never spent much time around hard-core racists, but didn’t/don’t they have some obsession with the size of black men’s penis’s too? I wonder if there is some sort of feeling of inadequacy in the mind of the bigot which they need to project onto their victims.—Joe]

  1. Much as they want to obsess about calling our genitalia small, it’s because those nippledicks are jealous

  2. “I wonder if there is some sort of feeling of inadequacy in the mind of the bigot which they need to project onto their victims.”

    I don’t.

Sex and violence have been bundled, sold as a package, conflated in “entertainment” media for a very long time. Maybe forever. Maybe it’s cultural rot or maybe it’s something more inherent to the dark side of Mankind. Sex as domination, domination as degradation and ridicule, violence as domination, degradation and ridicule. They all go together in much of our adolescent humor. How long has romance, for example, been referred to as “conquest”? We refer to “falling” in love rather than to “ascending in love” for a reason.

Anyway, Cooper several times referred to hoplophobia as a characteristic of the “non coper” (one who is generally less able or unable to cope, and is therefore more likely to resort to group or gang affiliation and coercion as opposed to self sufficiency and liberty) and I believe he was certainly correct. The non coper will of course tend to have a sense of inadequacy, simply because he is inadequate. He’ll make up for that by supporting the power of the state against the coper, for whom he has great resentment. This is referred to as “Social Justice”.

    • I point out that the Cupid, the cherub of “love”, carries a bow, and shoots people with arrows. Today’s analog of Cupid would carry an assault rifle.

This stuff is so deeply rooted in human culture we rarely even consider that it must have come from somewhere.
