[Don’t ever let anyone get away with telling you that no one wants to take away your guns.
After reading the article I breathed a heavy sigh. Barb asked what was wrong. I answered, “I just don’t know what to do with this. How do you respond to this?”
At some level Davis understands why gun ownership is important but she also wants to take guns from all private hands.

Dear Ms Davis: If instead of being named the Ku Klux Klan, would your father have not needed guns if they had been called the NKVD instead? Both groups acted to further the interests of the ruling faction in government, so are you only complaining about style?
I remember how her announcement that she was a Communist in, 1968, IIRC, became a cause celeb.
The question I would ask: “so are you saying that your father should not have been allowed to have guns?”
I could add to that: “do you realize that preventing black ownership of guns was one of the goals of the Dred Scott decision?”
Of course this is coming from an admitted terrorist who participated in a shootout that resulted in at least one death. This same woman has the same goals now as she had back then: to use force to morph the government into what she wants it to be.
Anything that she has to say about the matter of gun control is something that I don’t care to hear. This is not about guns, it is about control. She, and others like her, are the reasons why gun rights are so necessary.
I assume there is some sort of agency other than the police that she would have armed to enforce her authority. I don’t think she has thought this all the way through, or if she has, she hopes her audience hasn’t.
She probably has thought it through. Remember this quote:
