I cannot comprehend these people

Here is some of what I saw at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle today:

What are these people thinking? Where were they for the last several years as the Hamas fired hundreds, if not thousands, of rockets into Israel?

How could they not get the message that Israel has been trying to resolve this as humanely as possible and the Hamas continues to attack?

IdfCeaseFires

This is not an attempt by Israel to commit genocide. This is an attempt by Israel to defend against genocide. I find it hard to believe these people are that ignorant and that stupid or even that evil. What can they possible be thinking? They are incomprehensible to me.

This really, really irritates me. I have my gripes about Israel but on this issue I just want them to finish the job with Hamas. Show us how it’s done because it won’t be that much longer before we will have to do something similar to defend against scum like this.

  1. Some are idiots, but most know about Hamas and approve of its actions.
    They are progressives after all.

  2. They’ve been lied to all of their lives. That’ll change a person’s allegiance toward the Dark side. They have no idea what they’re doing.

  3. If you can listen to CNN during the day, it’s eye-opening. They have reporters on the ground in both Israel and Gaza and they are offering live coverage.

    • I would not trust CNN if they told me the sun would rise in the east. They have proven that they have a bias against Israel, and are absolutely in bed with all Islamic groups. That and any communist group. They have NO credibility.

You are aware that they made agreements with Saddam Hussein, to work with his government, so they would get exclusive access to Iraq? That was the most blatant thing they have been caught at, so far. No idea why they still exist.

  4. There was one of these protests across from my office the other day. Idiots with the same kind of slogans on their signs.

I hate to sound prejudiced, but it was somewhat telling that at least 2/3, and probably more like 3/4, of the crowd was wearing some form of traditional muslim clothing.

  5. Why aren’t the Palestinian genocidal maniacs called out for their behavior? Because nobody expects them to care if they are called genocidal maniacs.

If the Israelis just once behaved in a parallel manner to their enemies, demanding and fighting to the absolute unconditional surrender of the Hamas organization, laying down of all arms, surrender of all leadership personnel, destruction of all defensive and offensive capabilities, the world might scream but Israel would be safer.

The only thing that stopped Israel from destroying all of Egypt’s military in 1973 was the Russian-US cold war, that overshadowed that proxy war. That does not exist currently, and there is nothing, nothing but concern for its own troops and decency towards its enemies, that stops Israel from treating Gaza like FDR treated Germany.

  6. When a foreign government blockades your nation, arrests people without due process, engages in torture of your citizens, confiscates your land and property, insists that you disarm fully (while not expressing any intent of doing so themselves), and has an official policy that your country belongs to them, would you accept their “ceasefire”, or keep fighting? Hamas is a terrible organization. But much of the reason they are so terrible is because of Israels horrendous treatment of the Palestinians. There is no “good side” in that fight.

      • They are not a sovereign state, however, I would consider them a nation: “a large aggregate of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory.” The lack of international recognition should not invalidate their rights.

        • I consider their claims to sovereignty to be irrelevant; I do assert that in history, culture and language the so-called Palestinians are indistinguishable from the surrounding populations. By the standards you set forth, Yorkshiremen have a better claim to nationhood.

        • There is, in fact, a sovereign Palestinian state. But we’re talking about Gaza, which is physically separate and only nominally part of the State of Palestine. More importantly, they have separate governments, and Gaza is ruled by the terrorist group Hamas, who were elected to power in 2006.

All of which happen only because the Palestinians, and specifically the people of Gaza, keep trying to wipe Israel off the map. If they would stop trying to destroy Israel, Israel would (and has, in the rare times of peace) happily leave them alone.

          • Funny how so much of the problems Palestinians have boil down to not being able to keep their fucking hands to themselves.

        • And few people discuss what places like Lebanon and Jordan are.

In the bible those nations were the territory of the “Philistines”, not that the King James is the end-all-be-all of cultural borders…

          • Hell, Jordan *IS* the Arab portion of the “Palestinian Mandate”.

Great Britain pulled a fast one — they were supposed to divide the Palestinian Mandate into roughly equal for population size segments for teh Arabs and the Jews. The area that was known as “Transjordan” was roughly equivalent to the Arab portion — but *first*, Britain arbitrarily declared that the “Kingdom of Jordan” was no longer part of the Palestinian Mandate, THEN they treated the remaining Jewish segment as the whole Mandate alone, to be further divided AGAIN, in favor of the Arabs.

And of course, the 1947 UN partition does not have, and NEVER DID HAVE, legal authority, since the *ARABS* rejected it outright – they wanted ALL of Palestine. . .

Note that EGYPT also closed the land access to Gaza, for the SAME REASONS that israel did — the terrorist running teh Gaza Strip were persisting in violating the safety and sovereignity of both Egypt AND Israel by using the open borders to run illegal weapons and stage terrorist attacks across.

The inhabitants of Gaza have CHOSEN to support terrorism, and actively continue to support it, and have done so continuously, since before the border closings.

Here’s all the shits I don’t give for the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip anymore — .

    • When a foreign nation does all this because you keep trying to murder them in their sleep and you’ve elected a “government” whose charter demands the eradication of your entire nation…..

      I don’t blame Israel.

If the Palestinians would become civilized and stop trying to kill Israelis, they could have the equivalent of Monaco in Gaza.

      • True. You know the absolute best place in the world to be an Muslim Arab (other than the ruling cliques in the despotisms around teh Middle East)?

        Israel, as Israeli citizens.

You know who provides the MAJORITY of aid to the “Palestinians”? Israel, not the oil-rich Muslim Arab nations around them that supposedly have a primary religious duty to do so, under the Quran.

Frankly, if Israel has done anything truly wrong in this, it’s that they didn’t use sufficient force to end the threat early on. They’ve tried to be the “good guys” and bowed to international opinion far too much.

Personally, once the Palestinians voted the terrorists into power, I would have responded to any attacks with massively overwhelming force. Most likely a MOAB or two dropped on every launch site, followed with a bunch of leaflets saying “Don’t make us do it again.” If the attacks continued after a round or two of that, I’d have just carpet bombed the whole strip until the rubble bounced.

The people of Gaza decided to put the terrorists in charge, they can live (or die) with the consequences.

  8. “STOP KILLING INNOCENT PALESTINIANS”?

    Hmmm….

    “STOP KILLING INNOCENTS, PALESTINIANS”

    There. FTFY.

  9. Funny how the EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT is Refusing to open its SEVEN MILE BORDER with Gaza and let the Palestinians out, isn’t it?

Guess that means Cairo is run by a Jewish Government, huh?

    • What settlements? Israel evacuated and abandoned the settlements in Gaza almost ten years ago.

      • The settlements in the West Bank. The ones they keep adding to and expanding. The ones that prevent any peace process from going forward.

        • West Bank != Gaza

Separate land, separate governments. Essentially separate countries except on paper. I don’t see the West Bank government even trying to forcibly drive the settlers out, much less indiscriminately raining rockets down on Israel’s civilian population (and occasionally their own) like Gaza’s government does.

      • And they wouldn’t have been there in the first place but for the fact that they were attacked from there in a coordinated attempt to wipe them off the map. Ceding that land was a huge mistake. They were attacked from Gaza starting almost immediately, and the rockets have never stopped.

  10. We have a “palestinian state” here in America too. It’s the permanent, government-made, welfare underclass– A permanently pissed off and hopeless population, kept pissed off and hopeless for use as a de-stabilizing weapon against the rest of the country.

They are in fact victims, and yet they have no idea who the victimizers are.

The new wave coming in from the south is meant to swell the numbers, and I’m not sure it will work. There is even a possibility that it could backfire. Communication and education is the key.
