Quote of the day—Cliff Schecter

LaPierre, of course, is never held responsible for this rhetoric, even though it is not too much of a stretch to say that its repetition in all of the NRA’s magazines, radio show, emails, newsletter, speeches, on Fox News, and on right-wing talk radio and beyond clearly contributes to the killing everyday American citizens and members of law enforcement.

[And is Schecter ever “held responsible for this rhetoric” intended to promote the infringement of a specific enumerated right?

Imagine the outrage (and it would be appropriate) if Schecter had a similar screed about Muslims, women, blacks, or homosexuals. He would be (inappropriately)hounded out of a job if not investigated for hate speech.

As you can expect from anti-gun people they are all about the control of others but not of themselves.

As Sebastian said:

Don’t you find it telling that when he talks like this about the constitutionally protected class of gun owners you hear nothing but crickets from the those who claim to promote tolerance? This is just another data point that it’s not about tolerance. It’s about control. They want you either assimilated into the collective or banished to the gulags. It’s up to us to make sure there is at least a third option.

This is why there is Boomershoot.—Joe]

    who cares what schecter says?

buy guns. buy ammo. buy ammunition components, and learn reloading. scrounge brass.

become proficient with your guns. shoot them, until you can hit what you aim at.

know your rights. assert them. be jealous of them and guard them. be prepared to use your guns against the gun grabbers and anyone who might work for them, if they attempt to take your guns.

mean it when you say it. they will take my gun when they take it from my warm blood soaked hand, if they can. don’t smile when you say it.

i suggest you watch films of harlan carter to learn how to do all of that correctly.

don’t apologize. don’t bother arguing with them, it is an ideological thing with them.

remember they are not anti-gun. they have guns, and have people with guns protect them. what they mean when they say “gun control” is that they don’t trust you to have guns to use against them if they try to impinge on your liberties.

    shoot straight.

    • “they will take my gun when they take it from my warm blood soaked hand, if they can.”

Reference Joe’s earlier post for a more up to date version: “You can have my gun when you reanimate Your Cold. Dead. Hands.”

I think *some* of them got the message.

  2. “Imagine the outrage (and it would be appropriate) if Schecter had a similar screed about Muslims, women, blacks, or homosexuals. He would be (inappropriately)hounded out of a job if not investigated for hate speech.”

Considering recent revelations about the abilities of the NSA (and logically, other TLA’s as well) to put files on computers without the computer owner’s permission or knowledge, such screeds could come from Schecter to his surprise and distress as if he were a mere ventriloquist’s dummy, and he would learn first hand how people feel when he projects his anti-liberty attitudes on them.
