Quote of the day—Sten Deadio

Yeah we get it gun nuts…”yer rahts” are WAY more important than the rights of innocent victims of gun violence, and even though you zealots absolutely SPAZZ if people are allowed to vote without twelve federally-approved IDs, you think it’s just too Communistic to require you to PROVE who you are to buy a WEAPON OF DEATH.

Sadly, you will only learn the pathetic and embarrassing stupidity of your stance the hard way…like when you lose a loved one to a criminal who bought his gun at a gun show…you know, the way the overwhelming majority do?

  1. Notice how he (a) wants to take your guns, and (b) wants to take your vote. (How else would you describe people who advocate vote fraud?)

  2. I think he’s got it backwards.

Voter Id laws are, according to the argument, unconstitutional because requiring folks to obtain a current, valid, accurate Government ID would place an undue burden on members of poor/ rural/ elderly/ immigrant communities who wish to avail themselves of the rights guaranteed to them by the 14th or 19th Amendments.

How, then, would requiring a background check for every single firearms transfer or purchase in the US (which I can only assume will require a current, valid, accurate Government ID, just like the system for purchasing new firearms does now) NOT place an undue burden on members of poor/ rural/ elderly/ immigrant communities who wish to avail themselves of the rights guaranteed to them by the 2nd Amendment?

  3. God, reading some of those comments was like having tenpenny nails driven into my skull.

  4. Translation: *Some* laws that disenfranchise poor/ rural/ elderly/ immigrant communities are okay. because there are some rights that the poor/ rural/ elderly/ immigrant communities should not have.

Also gotta love the DK effect at work. This fellow sure thinks he’s the best and brightest and so much above us rubes and yet his ignorance is so great he can’t even see it.
