Quote of the day—Mike Dickinson

@danieljpayne @HustlerMag @NRA that the NRA is a god awful fear mongering group and those who support the NRA are pure trash.

[This is what some politicians think of you. Don’t wait for them to implement their “take out the trash” programs. Make sure they don’t get elected in the first place.

  1. Twitchy has a couple of good roundups on this guy. Not just guns he’s evil on. He’s the Dem nominee running against Erik Cantor. With all the crazy stuff he’s put out there, including attacks on women in his own party, I wonder about his being the nominee. Oooorrrr…(tinfoil hat on) if he has zero chance of winning, Cantor doing a quid pro quo, get this guy to do crazy crap. Then Cantor (who is decidedly unpopular with conservatives) can say “See? You *have* to support me or this crazy guy will win!” (Tinfoil hat off)

    • He has zero chance of running in that district. The VA Democratic party is really good about running total lunatics in such districts, to eliminate them from being contenders in any race that might actually be winnable by them. “Yeah, we already GAVE that guy a shot, and he blew it. He’s a loyal activist and hard working campaign worker, but he just doesn’t have ‘it’ as an actual politician.”

It’s really a quite elegant solution for teh Dems:

      1. They don’t have to give up a seat in an unopposed election (not even fielding a candidate just makes you look weak).

      2. They don’t have to worry about the consequences of a guy who they KNOW will ultimately damage their party brand if he wins.

      3. They do not seriously risk losing this guy’s support for future campaigns, whether in teh form of time or money — he’ll feel EXTRA loyal to the party that “gave him a shot”.

  2. Off Topic, but haave you ever seen the National Geographic television episode “Guns in America?” It’s not terrible, but it is definitely anti-gun propaganda.

A Philadelphia Police Officer named Richard DeCoatsworth has a prominent role in the episode. He also sat next to Michelle Obama during the 2009 State of the Union Speech. Last year he was arrested for kidnapping , involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other charges. He initially agreed to plead guilty to lesser crimes in order to ensure a shorter sentence, but recently changed his mind.

Isn’t it interesting how many of these anti-gun heroes turn out to be scumbags?
    Best,

  3. Call me homophobic, but I cannot support Dicksucker for Congress. True lovers of FREEDOM and LIBERTY are those that support People’s rights to speak even when you do not wish to hear what is being said. I defend this moron’s right to his opin ion why can he not extend that same right to others ?
