Quote of the day—Richard O. Simpson

My general counsel tells me that while firearms are exempted from our jurisdiction under the Consumer Product Safety Act, we could possibly ban bullets under the Hazardous Substances Act.

The current efforts to ban lead bullets are in part a watered down version of the same mindset and is getting much better traction.—Joe]

  1. Infringe;
    encroach on somebody’s rights or property.
    “transitive and intransitive verb to take over land, rights, privileges, or activities that belong to somebody else, especially in a minor or gradual way.”

    Or in my own words; to touch upon the fringes, or the penumbra, or the farthest, outer reaches of someone’s property, rights or activities.

    Attempting a ban, or an obstruction, a tax or a license requirement, the filling out of a government form etc.; all of those are at least infringements then, and some are probably worse. If you’re creating an inconvenience, that’s and “infringement” and is a crime. If that inconvenience is such that it prevents anyone from exercising the right, it is far more than an infringement.

    This language;
    “…while firearms are exempted from our jurisdiction under the Consumer Product Safety Act, we could possibly ban bullets…”
    is clear proof of both intent and conspiracy to deprive citizens of a right under color of law.

    It also shows how government agencies, departments and acts are considered to be tools for such conspiracies. “Sure; you have your stupid “Bill of Rights”, but WE have the Hazardous Substances Act, the CPSC, the EPA, the BATFE, CPS, NFA’34, GCA’68, the IRS, now we own the medical industry, and we have all these other things that can be used to over rule it (Ptptptptth!).”
