Quote of the day—Emily Miller

The police stonewalling and cover-up are so that the public doesn’t find out that Chief Lanier enforces laws differently in the District, depending on whether you are a powerful liberal who opposes Second Amendment rights, like Mr. Gregory and Mrs. Feinstein, or an average American.

MILLER: Smoking gun exposed- D.C. police covers up giving Feinstein illegal ‘assault weapons’
[Why can’t this be considered a violation of the constitution via liberals being granted titles of nobility with special privileges?

The only other way I can see to look at this is that the liberals are saying the law does not apply in the “game” they are playing. I don’t think they really want to go there because a lot of people who normally play the rule also consider it fair play to play by the rules of their opponents. And if there are no rules, well, then there are no rules.—Joe]

  1. There are no rules. There. Does that help?

Power for its own sake is a heady drug, addictive and seductive, unable to be relinquished by most people. The Dems have it bad.

    • Nor is it exclusive to Dems. Though they are badly, and in some case irrevocably, infected, there are far too many Republicans with the same horrible disease. Have you been watching what’s happening the Republican Senate? Do you know what they did to Freedom Works last year, and what they’re doing right now, and to the Conservative Senate Fund? Wow!

  2. At first I thought the actual legislators were home free. But then I double-checked the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 6 which reads:

“The Senators and Representatives shall receive a compensation for their services, to be ascertained by law, and paid out of the treasury of the United States. They shall in all cases, except treason, felony and breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any speech or debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other place.” [emphasis added]

So if any of that gun-handling is felonious…

  3. Oops, that needs to read *tried to add* emphasis. Joe, what’s up with not even being able to mark up comments with bold or italic?

  4. It seems that those who have the guns will make the rules. Let’s make sure that Feinstein and her evil cohorts are not the only ones with them.

  5. “And if there are no rules, well, then there are no rules.”

Oh, there are rules. Always have been, always will be. It’s just that some people break them. Let’s just remain clear on who is in rebellion and who is remaining true to the founding principles.

  6. Speaking of titles of nobility, I’ve often thought that the Law Enforcement Officer’s Safety Act (LEOSA HR218, which I qualify for), the law that allows current and retired cops nationwide concealed carry is a form of nobility-like special privilege.
