NSA data used for blackmail

If this report is true then I was right (emphasis in the original):

They went after–and I know this because I had my hands literally on the paperwork for these sort of things–they went after high-ranking military officers; they went after members of Congress, both Senate and the House, especially on the intelligence committees and on the armed services committees and some of the–and judicial. But they went after other ones, too. They went after lawyers and law firms. All kinds of–heaps of lawyers and law firms. They went after judges. One of the judges is now sitting on the Supreme Court that I had his wiretap information in my hand. Two are former FISA court judges. They went after State Department officials. They went after people in the executive service that were part of the White House–their own people.

  1. Understand that this behavior is a natural part, or result, of a certain mindset. It is inevitible.

Some of us might believe that the general public would be outraged upon learning this, but approximately half of the country will either openly or secretly approve of it. This is what gangs do, and socialism/Progressivism/Fascism/communism/Jihad is a gang mentality.

Obama was one of the few communists who’s been honest enough to tell us up front that this would be the sort of thing his administration would do. He said it to make sure he had the support of like-minded (communist revolutionary) Americans. “We’re going to reward our friends and punish our enemies” he said. If anyone failed to understand what he meant by that it’s their own fault.

Many of us knew exactly what he meant, because we’d been seeing if from other authoritarians inside our government for many years.

Sooner or later more people will wake up and realize that we’ve been losing a war we didn’t necessarily think we’d been fighting.

This is an all-out war against the founding principles of the United States, and most of us are just starting to see the tips of the various icebergs (or rather, mines) in our path. Most of those fighting the war don’t even know about it, but are only concerned with what they’ve been convinced is their personal best interest; the government worker, union school teacher, welfare types (the dependent class). Most of them will see stories like this and think (if only silently, to themselves) “Yes! More of this, please! Go get ’em!”

Or, just as was often said in Germany immediately prior to W.W. II; “We need a StrongMan [who can cut through all the politics and get things done].”

    Well, here we are.

  2. This quote is supposedly from a NSA guy who was working during the Bush administration.

      • The true believers can, and if this gets traction will, say Bush started it, and no wonder the anointed one is so hamstrung in his efforts to bring the paradise on earth they know will be here if only the “right people” can be in charge. There is nothing in the story about how under Obama anything increased or took less restrained measures. There is nothing in the story that will cause true believers to examine their beliefs that all that was bad started with Bush unless it started with the ever more evil elder Bush or Reagan or Nixon (Eisenhower is too far back, he might as well be Sargon IV for all they know). It takes a certain intellect to ask, as Joe did, “when did this start?” Has it been going on for every administration and every elected official?” Your average low information brand name Democrat voter doesn’t have that intellect, or if he does, the data isn’t there for him to work with.

  3. I was just pointing out the story line. AFAIC anyone signing off on this sort operation by ANY three (or who-cares-how-many) digit agency should be – ah well, never mind, I’m already on enough lists…
