Quote of the day—President Barack Obama

We still do not know who did this or why. And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts.

President Barack Obama

In regard to the bombs detonated at the Boston Marathon.

  1. The “people” shouldn’t, but if this admin sees a way to pin this on a disgruntled white guy with access to a couple cans of Bullseye, I’ll bet the investigation ends right there.

    • That is my fear too. He doesn’t want US to jump to conclusions, so they can prepare the ground for THEM to paint the conclusions for us. If they can rule out international terrorism, then it justifies “cracking down” domestically, and doesn’t complicate the international failures any further. If they can rule out left-wing terrors, they can imply right-wing. Etc., etc., etc. While I feel for the people hurt and injured in the blasts, I don’t like the direction I’m seeing them point, by their NOT pointing in certain ways, so far.
One way to close the “reloaders loophole” is to crack down on, and register, bulk powder sales. I would say “time to stock up,” but you know that already.

  2. Why not jump to conclusions? As Dave Workman points out in today’s Examiner column, the first words out of Obama’s lips after Sandy Hook was to “make sure nothing like this happens again” by enacting legislation and signing executive orders in response to an event that hadn’t even been investigated yet.

Of course for Boston, the only possible solution will be an increase in Federal government power. And they are really hoping that they can trace this to something gun related, even if it isn’t. Stay tuned for background checks, purchase limits, and recordkeeping on reloading supplies – if the amendment isn’t introduced in the Senate by the end of the week, I’ll be very surprised.

  3. Uh, well, sorry, but just from looking at his Pressor and his Non-Response to the Terrorist Attack, which he still refuses to call it, I’m leaning towards some sort of IslamoFascist assault. Whether a Single person or a Group, we can look at the FACTS of the Obama Regimes attitude towards IslamoFascism and how he responds to it. Just look at the Ft.Hood Shooting, the Underwear Bombing, etc.

Now, I do have an Open Mind, and I can see some Right-Wing McVeigh Wannabe behind this also.

But I don’t give a Damn about “Why.” EVIL is EVIL. Innocents were Killed and Maimed, and the Perp/Perps if caught need to be Killed, NOT “Cutting a Deal” for Life in a Supermax.

And if it pisses off some bunch of Extremists somewhere, too bad.

  4. “We still do not know who did this or why. And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts.”

I think that might be an incomplete quote. I think the full sentence is

“We still do not know who did this or why. And people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts made up.”.

  5. I too am suspicious of this Pres. Who has gone off half cocked a every opportunity, except this one. I think I smell a rat.

  6. I recall my Stalinist Sister-in-Law posting something on Facebook after the Newton murders about not “politicizing this thing”, the unspoken thought being “because we collectivists intend to, and your attempt to politicize in the furtherance of individual liberty will just get in the way.”
