A gun, particularly assault weapons and lethal militarized handguns, are at least two things: a prosthetic dick and a sign that even unemployed white guys still rule the Western World and sit at the head of the kitchen table.

One might be tempted to claim this is an April Fools Joke but if you read the whole thing I’m certain you’ll come to the conclusion this guy is serious.
Even after overlooking the grammar errors that make comprehension difficult at times I had trouble figuring out what he really meant. What does “lethal militarized handgun” mean? But I don’t think it matters. It’s readily apparent the guy has no idea what he is talking about. The entire article is filled with half-truths and absurd conclusions.

He is projecting and trying to compensate for this masculinity deficit and maybe also for the lack of respect that he gets (because it is clearly undeserved).
So, this is how they want the “discussion” and “dialogue” to unfold and for us to engage in?
Let’s see, insult us and sometimes characterize us as evil, place blame on us for the criminal and individual actions of insane losers, and then ask us to give up our rights and agree to collective punishment. Sounds just like the Nazis.
“Lethal militarized handgun” means approximately the same thing as “high-capacity assault clip”.
Or, as heard in a Discovery channel documentary just last night: “high-powered AR-15 assault rifle” (and they said it at least twice before I tuned out).
In other words, it’s a normal handgun, with optional scare-language attached.
And of course, the Catch-22 to all the scare language – they know that there are no functional differences between their scary guns and the pretty wood and blued steel guns. The bans and restrictions are on cosmetics only – so if you build new scary guns that meet the new restrictions, well then you’re exploiting some “loophole” to follow the specious laws that they invented!
In the case of Karlin, well Hell – the guy should just grow a dick and maybe order one of the Charles Atlas “Don’t be a wimp” books out of the back pages of the comic books he uses for research references.
Ah, yes, “loopholes”. One of the most famous of which is the CA-compliant “Bullet Button”, in which they describe a specific exception to the “assault weapon” ban – as in, codified in law – as a “loophole”.
To you and I, the 2nd Amendment is a restriction on government power and a guarantor – NOT a grantor – of freedom; but to these people, it is a legal loophole preventing their ultimate end goal of complete citizen disarmament and government monopoly on force.
And don’t forget this is the same ‘Mark Karlin’ who ran the Joyce Foundation funded ‘Gun Guys’ website until the money dried up.

Here’s another one I’ll never get: why unemployed or implied poor? Why does that keep coming up? When did that become bad? Isn’t economic equality a big deal to the same people who want gun control? Wouldn’t “unemployed” be a condition requiring assistance, perhaps an entitlement program? How is that even relevant?
Besides, guns are freakin’ expensive! Unemployed anybody can’t afford the guns they really hate. Anybody price a nice .50 rifle? Dear Lord! Right now a pretty basic AR15 costs more than my car is worth. I can’t even afford ammo right now, if I could find any.
Face it, the poor stereotype is wrong. Gun owners have money. Well, had, maybe.
