Quote of the day—Gayle Trotter

Young women are speaking out as to why AR-15 weapons are their weapon of choice. The guns are accurate, they have good handling, they’re light, they’re easy for women to hold. And most importantly, their appearance. An assault weapon in the hands of a young woman defending her babies in her home becomes a defense weapon. And the peace of mind that a woman has as she’s facing three, four, five violent attackers or intruders in her home with her children screaming in the background. The peace of mind from having a big, scary-looking gun gives her courage when she’s facing hardened, violent criminals.

Best lines from the gun violence hearing
[It’s bigger than a handgun but not so big as a shotgun which can be cumbersome in close quarters.

Think of it as a Goldilocks gun. It’s not too big. It’s not too little. It’s just right.—Joe]

  1. Coming from an Older Generation (and those Damn Kids better stay off my Yard!), I’ve never been enamored of the AR’s.

But having said that, for the Younger Generation, especially those married Couples who have a Spouse in the U.S. Military, I think it’s a good choice. Personally, for those in the Military who are living Off Base in a Free State, I think there should be TWO of them, a “His and Hers,” with Ammo, Mags, etc, AND the Military Trained Spouse should be taking His/Her Sweetie to the Range and getting the Spouse up to Speed on it’s use.

After all, the Deployed Military Person could sleep better at night knowing that they left behind a Well-Armed, Well-Trained Family Member.

And the Same applies to the Civilian Side, of course.

After all. I’m sure there are loads of Single Mothers out there who want a Firearm for Self-Defense, and they are looking for help.

  2. Still not the weapon of choice in a close encounter indoor situation. Far better than no weapon at all, but its best attributes are utilized at slightly longer distances.

    • Then ask yourself why short-barreled AR-pattern rifles are being made, and in use by LEOs/MIL/NFA individuals.

  3. I will admit that I never understood why shotguns are pushed so hard for defense. The AR has similar terminal effects with good ammo and holds more than triple the ammo, which is clear enough, and it’s easier to get good optics for too. People say that shotguns are lighter and easier to maneuver, but I have a bare-bones Mossberg 500, and it’s longer and more awkward to maneuver than my AR and weighs about the same loaded. What’s the point, again?

Gonna steal that one, it’s too good not to.

  5. You are all wrong! VPOTUS Biden said an over-under two-barrel shotgun is the best gun for the ladies and we all know that he is the smartest man alive. /sarc.

Seriously, the most ignorant, biased people on the planet want to violate our traditions and history, defy logic and reality, and stomp on our Constitution to try to take away our firearms. Meanwhile, knowing it will spark a civil war, they have the gall to claim they have a lock on common sense!

Their stupidity takes your breath away.

I say moron labe and see how that works out for you!
