Quote of the day—Charles Woods

I want to honor my son, Ty Woods, who responded to the cries for help and voluntarily sacrificed his life to protect the lives of other Americans. In the last few days it has become public knowledge that within minutes of the first bullet being fired the White House knew these heroes would be slaughtered if immediate air support was denied. Apparently, C-130s were ready to respond immediately. In less than an hour, the perimeters could have been secured and American lives could have been saved. After seven hours fighting numerically superior forces, my son’s life was sacrificed because of the White House’s decision. This has nothing to do with politics, this has to do with integrity and honor. My son was a true American hero. We need more heroes today. My son showed moral courage. This is an opportunity for the person or persons who made the decision to sacrifice my son’s life to stand up.

Joe Biden to Father of Former Navy SEAL Killed in Benghazi: ‘Did Your Son Always Have Balls the Size of Cue Balls?’
[The entire attitude of this administration toward the family of the dead is extremely troubling.

That doesn’t even address what Hillary Clinton said. She said they would “make sure that the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.” Yet we now know the Whitehouse had a live video feed of the attack and could not have seriously believed it was a riot rather than a planned attacked with mortars. The wounds that killed the SEALs were from mortar shrapnel!

I’m reminded of a book I recently finished, How Do You Kill 11 Million People?: Why the Truth Matters More Than You Think.

Take your blood pressure medication then read the whole thing.—Joe]

  1. This has nothing to do with politics, this has to do with integrity and honor.

Yes. He had them, Obama does not.

  2. Let’s see, how many MURDERS is this Administration responsible for? We have the BATFE “Gun Walking,” we have the Libyan Massacre…..

  3. Les, I doubt you could charge them with any murders. Criminally negligent manslaughter is what they would be convicted of.

  4. @Garrett Lee, I’m not a lawyer, but in F&F it appears they explicitly anticipated and it was the desired outcome that guns be recovered from “crime scenes” (locations of murders). That would appear to be something more than manslaughter to me. If I wanted someone to die and I deliberately gave a gun to someone that I strongly suspected would fulfill my desire I’m pretty sure I could be charged and convicted of murder.

  5. @Joe; Facilitating a murder. However; if the interests being armed are known enemies of the United States, it become the textbook definition of treason. We may be looking at just that with regard to Libya and other regions of the Middle East.

  6. Hillary Clinton never said that. She stood up for Freedom of Speech. Either put up a link or delete that libelous statement.

  7. @ubu52, I did link to it. Follow it and read the entire article. I listened, on the radio this morning, to Charles Wood say she said it to him.

  8. Hilary says completely contradictory things about practically everything. No doubt one could find a quote wherein she defends “free speech” for example, but that doesn’t override her outrageous statement to the bereaved father. The fact that she’s all over the map only proves that she has no principles. And that’s the point– like all communists, she’s only interested in her own position and power.

  9. ubu now defending Hillary? How fitting.

There is a link off Instapundit that suggests that Woods and Dougherty accounted for 60 dead attackers at the consulate and CIA annex. That’s making sure you got plenty of servants in Valhalla, guys. I am in awe.

  10. 60 dead? That is an “Inshallah moment”, I tell you. They were all effete, cowardly, can’t-fight-won’t-fight Americans. They were supposed to go down like ducks in a shooting gallery.

As for some level of murder/ manslaughter, I do recall from Law School something called “transferred intent”, in which if I intend to kill one person and I miss for whatever reason and kill another, the intent is transferred to the other person. I think that should attach to an intent that SOMEONE die, and not someone specific.

As for anyone knowing about it, my Leftist brothers and their Stalinst wives are probably oblivious to this on account of Communist News Network only carrying stories on Romney’s lies and Kate’s boobs.

  11. On the basis of the mention here, I bought “How Do You Kill 11 Million People?: Why the Truth Matters More Than You Think.” on my Nook this morning, it is a great, quick (64 pages including notes) read.

  12. Charles Woods needs to move on. His son isn’t the first causality of the Bush and Cheney wars. His son couldn’t cheat fate. As none of us will. We are all going to die, that is for sure. His son signed up to defend the country and making the ultimate sacrifice is apart of that contract. When it’s your time to go not even Romney can save you. There have been thousands of men women and children victims of these wars for Bush’s promise of cheap oil and gas. That has never happened. The only thing these wars have done is enriched large crooked corporations and killed thousands of men women and children as well as destroyed the global economy. The corporations could not get access to the middle east natural resources because they could not employ a large enough security force. But if you can get the village idiot in office he can get the the citizens to pay for it by setting up something to spread fear in them. I’ll fly down to Florida and pretend I am reading a book to preschoolers, with the book upside down. We need to wake up, we are being had by corporatist and banksters. Start a war on terror and use the tax pates security force to get the corporations the protection they need to get richer. The US military will allow them to steal all the oil they want. Every says we have a great nation. A nation that is filled with division, racism, hate , crime and greed. If this is the definition of a great nation then I’d hate to see what a greater nation would look like.

    Deuces
    Mike

  13. @Mike, “move on”? It would appear there was criminal negligence involved in his death. Those responsible should be punished.

The rest of your screed appears to be based upon facts not in evidence and I’ll just ignore them for now.
