Quote of the day—Suzanne Langland

I know that big money, special interests, the gun lobby and cowardly, greedy politicians are to blame. BUT, WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE FROM THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY? Too many issues have been allowed to be pushed aside in this country. We need to change this. I urge you to demand that guns be banned and a Felony penalty imposed on those who would reject a federal gun surrender ALL GUNS ARE MADE TO KILL. WHATEVER SIZE THEY ARE AND HOWEVER QUICKLY THEY DISCHARGE THEIR BULLETS.

[Special interests? How many people own guns versus how many want guns banned? It would appear to me that the people that want guns banned are the “special interests”.

In any case it’s nice to have their real agenda out in the open. Do not ever forget that they want you defenseless and/or in jail.—Joe]

  1. Good god, man. How do you read that stuff to find these… “treasures”? One page of it and my blood pressure is 15 points higher.

  2. I naturally have low blood pressure. I sometimes get light headed and nearly faint when I stand up. I consider reading the rants of these people a type of therapy.

  3. “I consider reading the rants of these people a type of therapy.”

You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din.

Actually it was going to be, You’re a strong man, Joe, but somehow I was channeling Kipling at the moment.

  4. “ALL GUNS ARE MADE TO KILL. WHATEVER SIZE THEY ARE AND HOWEVER QUICKLY THEY DISCHARGE THEIR BULLETS.”

    Wow.

    Even Nerf guns?

  5. Liberty is a special interest. Never forget it.

    Actually…
Special Interest; any interest with which communists disagree.

  6. Any freedom we have left only exists because of “cowardly, greedy politicians”. Awesome.

  7. “…I urge you to demand that guns be banned and a Felony penalty imposed on those who would reject a federal gun surrender…”

Hmm…I think there is something in our Bill of Rights that might make her demands untenable. Now what could that be?

Please don’t bother her with facts, logic, laws and legal rulings, logistics, and the risk of carnage and civil war.
Yes, they do want to take away all of our guns.
    They can try…

    Molon Labe!

  8. You did not include that part of her comment remarking that this is her adopted country.

What parts of the citizenship education did she miss, other than the bits about individual rights, limited government, personal liberty and respect for the rights of others, particularly those with whom one disagrees?

  9. Nice. All you have to do is reject a federal gun surrender. It sounds like she wants all the non-gun owners who think it is a bad idea imprisoned too.

  10. Well, I for one would not reject a “federal gun surrender”. Unfortunately, I suspect she does not mean that literally, i.e. the federal agents surrendering *their* guns.

    As Braden said: Molon Labe!

  11. Somewhere, in some alternate universe where the Justice Department is not corrupt and crooked, all the anti-gun, anti rights people are being prosecuted under this:

    TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 241

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same;…

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

I just wish it was NOW, in THIS universe.

Wouldn’t it be great to see MAIG, VPC, Brady, all of em taking the perp walk?

  12. Oakenheart, well, with a little bit more trimming from the likes of Alan Gura, that might be closer than you think, but politicians being what they are, I think they’d stop before somebody discovered that section and began to draft an indictment.

Lyle, “Liberty shouldn’t be a special interest” does fit on a bumpersticker.
