Quote of the day—Friedrich Nietzsche

Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies.

Friedrich Nietzsche
[After dinner last night at the Gun Blogger Rendezvous several of us stayed up late talking. One of the topics was the inability of the anti-gun people to think logically. In many cases they claim to simple “know” the truth. Nietzsche was a pretty sharp guy.

  1. Joe! I’m disappointed. As my shooting instructor and dear family friend, you should know that yours is a blog I check for awesome right wing banter…now I’m on the bus excited to read an array of creative and entertaining DNC jabs on my way to work and I get Nietzche! Boooooo! Are you too busy to go in on the dems right now or is this an official libertarian media black out?

  2. @Julie, As a supporter of gay marriage and abortion rights I thought I was disqualifying myself from the “right wing”.

The DNC doesn’t need a whole lot of help from me to demonstrate how full of fail it is. I have been mostly ignoring them while I am in Reno having fun at the Gun Blogger Rendezvous.

  3. Well, that’s what makes it awesome! But given my distain for sweeping political generalizations, touche.

And on the second point, reasonable, but still a whole lot less entertaining…glad you’re enjoying Reno though!

  4. Depending on who you ask, either Josh Billings or Mark Twain (or maybe both), said words to the effect that, “It ain’t what you don’t know that’s dangerous, it’s what you know that ain’t so.”
