Politicians hammered by the NRA

Is he saying he isn’t capable of understanding the right to keep and bear arms is a specific enumerated right? In 2008 the U.S. Supreme court ruled guns in common use are protected. Earlier rulings said firearms used by the military are protected. Garcia needs to either 1) Advocate for the repeal of the 2nd Amendment and get swept into the dustbin of history; or 2) Find a cure for his ignorance problem.—Joe]
Charles Garcia is an interestingly cogent and honest enemy of liberty. He openly expresses an interest in enacting tyranny, and openly complains about the power of the will of the people. For that I applaud him. I prefer the advocacy of liberty of course, but short of that I prefer clarity to the ambiguity, euphemism and outright lies we’re accustomed to getting from the communists.
Garcia probably feels like I do. The current understanding of the 2A is the result of a systematic bastardization that’s taken place over the last half-century. There’s no need to repeal the amendment in order to effect a better and more honest understanding of what it actually means.

If the left would ever come up with valid examples of the “common-sense” gun laws they constantly bleat about, they might get somewhere. All I’ve seen so far are impediments to those who would NOT misuse them, and moronic things like the so-called “assualt weapons” ban, accomplished zero, and magazine capacity restrictions, which do nothing when even a new shooter like myself can reload in a second or two.
I’m waiting for valid examples. Won’t be holding my breath.
Best comeback for banning “military style weapons” I’ve seen is “you mean like a Brit issue 69 cal Brown Bess? Military *style* my but, it was military *issue*.” Of course, some US military posts issued and used Ruger MkII .22 LR pistols for training, too, so what abut those? What about the 1903A3 bolt action – it really WAS a sniper rifle?
Common sense gun control means shooting the bad guys first, and don’t be an idiot the rest of the time.
If the law against murder doesn’t work, how is a law against strangling anyone going to work better?
Forget the whole Rights thing, that is not the problem, the problem is stupid and criminal people that don’t feel responsible for their actions, and a bunch of stupid loving people that fear everything but pretend they have a solution. Then give them both a population of people that want protection, good times and to seem reasonable but don’t want to take a stand against tyrants.

If these guys were trying to reduce drunken driving accidents by the same methods, they’d be lobbying to prevent sober people from buying cars.
Gun control advocates universally believe in magic thinking. That there is some magic words/laws/ritual that will solve their “problems” and that all of us who don’t believe hate Tinkerbell.
