Quote of the day—Raffy Mulivor

Americans are peace-loving people, but if you start up with us, we’re going to kick your butt.

Raffy Mulivor (12 years old)
June 16, 2012
This was when he was asked to explain the meaning of the arrows and olive branch in the eagle’s claws on symbols in the Great Seal of the United States.

  1. I think this was a private discussion with his father and until I posted the above (with permission) the school had no way of knowing.

I’ll let you know if I hear of an adverse reaction.

  2. Hi, I’m Raffy’s father. Joe is right, it’s a quote from a conversation at home. I had asked my son if he knew the meaning of the arrows and olive branches in the Seal of the United States. That’s when he came out with his somewhat amusing (at least to me) response. As for school, Raffy (short for Raphael) attends a private school with a patriotic outlook, so he would more likely be praised than punished for his remark.

    Kind regards,
    Phil Mulivor
