Quote of the day—Thomas Sowell

Is the purpose of legal proceedings to get at the truth or to provide media entertainment?

  1. To be honest, I suspect that legal proceedings with the state as one party are purely propaganda and rigged legal theatre.

If the state wins, it’s “pour encourager les autres”; if the state loses, it’s to delude us into thinking the game isn’t rigged.
