Quote of the day—Marianne DeAlessi

Losing innocent children to gun fatalities can be eliminated with gun control.

Argument for gun control
[What kind of fantasy world is she living in? Even ignoring the hundreds of thousands of children murdered by their own government using firearms many who might have been saved had there not been gun control the only “gun control” that could possibly achieve such a result would be the complete destruction of all firearms. And of course as the availability of firearms tends toward zero other types of violence tend to go up such that there is no net gain in safety.

It may be that she is suffering from Peterson Syndrome but if not then she should attempt to answer Just One Question before advocating for more gun control.—Joe]

  1. “It may be that she is suffering from Peterson Syndrome but if not then she should attempt to answer Just One Question before advocating for more gun control.”
And that is of course totally ignoring the fact that we have rights– that the purpose of the United States was supposed to be the protection of those rights. If we were all locked up in padded rooms for life, I suppose the accidental death rate could be limited to cases where someone forgot (or refused) to feed us. Then we’d all be nice and “safe”.

Even with superb propaganda efforts, a person has to be in willful denial to believe anything like DeAlessi’s quote there. It is a sad state of affairs. For myself, I don’t think she actually believes what she’s saying. So I’m giving her some credit for intelligence. She’s just a liar is all, pushing an agenda of hate while using “Children” as a smoke screen.

  2. The solution seems simple enough for me. Just make it illegal to bring a gun into a school. Problem solved. Or maybe we restrict the sale of firearms to minors. You can’t shoot anyone if you can’t buy a gun. Heck, we could even just make murder illegal. That would take care of all the gun deaths and then some.

    Oh, wait…

  3. Curiously she has no apparent desire to eliminate child knife deaths, or child swimming pool deaths, or child automoble deaths, or . . .
It’s all about the gun, which can only be attributed to the fact that it takes so little muscle to use the thing to protect yourself against a larger, stronger younger, faster person who wishes you harm or death.
Hoplophobe is too nice a term.

  4. And let’s not forget: many of these “innocent” children are twelve-to-twenty-one-year-old gang bangers who, to borrow a phrase once used to describe XML, committed their first murder before the first time they had sex, which was rape.

Well, not all of them are that bad, for sure, but they certainly aren’t living a lifestyle of peaches and roses, where they frolic in the strawberry fields with bunnies and unicorns, either.
