Quote of the day—Jeff Knox

The emperor truly has no clothes in the gun control debate and the more that is pointed out, the more people will see the truth.

[I think this was a critical item in turning the tide in the mid and late 1990’s. The Internet made getting the point out about the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the anti-gun movement easier and overcame the MSM bias. It’s like that famous Hunter S. Thompson quote, “With the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark – that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”—Joe]

  1. The Internet and growth of social media bloggers has allowed “us” to get the truth out there. We don’t own ABC, NBC or CNN, but we have friends, associates and families that read all the thousands of small writers with a thin slice of life in the Internet world. We win because we have truth on our side, as long as we stick to the truth we will continue to erode the lies.

  2. My freshman daughter (pardon the oxymoron) went to a college Halloween party dressed up as Raoul Duke in Las Vegas, complete to borrowing my vintage Ray Bans and carrying a folding Gerber (kept concealed – no grapefruits were present).

With that as my Thompson bona fides, I would like your opinion on Thompson’s funeral service – with his ashes being shot out of a cannon over his Colorado property.

  3. @mikee, I thought I had made a post about that but I can’t seem to find it.

    My opinion? [shrug] Whatever.

After I’m dead (a couple hundred years from now). My ashes will probably be scattered on the field where Boomershoot takes place with explosives.
