Quote of the day—Victor Davis Hanson

The left needs a sacrificial lamb. So it has nonsensically turned with a fury on Obama as if he were culpable for getting through the left’s own agenda. If Democrats don’t blame the public’s anger on their once-beloved messenger, then they’re left only with their message itself. That’s something they simply can’t accept.

Why liberals are giving prez the shiv
[And I’ll bet they thought the “Occupy Wall Street” protests would resonate more as well. As near as I can tell the left lacks a grasp on reality. That limits their ability to accomplish anything other than by using violence. They apparently realize that and are making what they think are the appropriate plans. But as son James said last night (paraphrasing), “Bring it on.”—Joe]

  1. I think the Occupy Wall Street protests have been effective in the sense that people are being noticed and heard. I didn’t realize that so many gun blogs support crony capitalism and corporatism like they do. I thought there were more Libertarians in the gun blogs but I guess I was wrong.

  2. I see you are up to your usual misrepresentations, ubu52. The TEA Party opposed crony capitalism long back when the OWS people were still toasting President Goldman Sachs with their latest score of marijuana. But because the TEA Party wasn’t calling for class warfare, you and the media decided to demonize them. Now that the hippies try their hapless protests, and using our parks as outdoor toilets, while George Soros funds the protests and ACORN/SIEU try to fatten up the crowd count, you and the MSM cover up for them.

  3. SPQR,

Why did you change your handle from Linoge?

I know you aren’t stupid about guns but you appear to be a real dunce when it comes down to discussing the Federal Reserve and anything having to do with economics.

I didn’t see the Tea Party protesting the Federal Reserve. They seemed to be protesting taxes, the deficit and government — but not the Federal Reserve or Wall Street (the banks and other financial enterprises).

Do yourself a favor and Google “‘crony capitalism’ ‘Federal Reserve’ banks”.

Also, Sarah Palin said this: “[T]he permanent political class …[use] taxpayer dollars… to bail out their friends on Wall Street and their corporate cronies, and to reward campaign contributors, and to buy votes via earmarks. There is so much waste. And there is a name for this: It’s called corporate crony capitalism. This is not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts, of waste and influence peddling and corporate welfare. This is the crony capitalism that destroyed Europe’s economies. It’s the collusion of big government and big business and big finance to the detriment of all the rest – to the little guys.”

But she didn’t say it until September of this year.

What you and the other Tea partiers seem to avoid talking about is that the Federal Reserve doesn’t need permission from anyone to bail out banks or other entities if they choose (even foreign companies). They are not a part of government. If they want to create $16 trillion dollars to bail out companies (which they did), they can.

Meanwhile, you and a lot of the other gun bloggers seem to get a kick out of calling OWS dirty hippies and saying you aren’t part of the 99%. Believe whatever the heck you want, but you are only fooling yourselves.

  4. It is their own plan and their own operative brought them to this point. It would only be right if the leftards savage Bobo and then turn on themselves eating their own until none of them remain. At least we can hope.
