Quote of the day—President Obama

I’m determined because there’s too much at stake. The alternative I think is an approach to government that would fundamentally cripple America in meeting the challenges of the 21st Century and that’s not the kind of society that I want to bequeath to Malia and Sasha, and your children and your grandchildren.

President Obama
What President Obama saying to his donors
September 25, 2011
[What President Obama isn’t directly saying is that the U.S. Constitution is crippling his vision of a utopian society.

And while I say that’s a good thing the battle has mostly been lost. I fear the majority of people in this country will have to learn the lessons of socialism and perhaps even communism for themselves.

  1. I wonder if future generations will look back and ask why we would have allowed this marxist into the White House.

Will we look back and make an obscene gesture everytime his name is mentioned? Probably not; some still venerate Josef Stalin, so recognize that many people can be fooled completely. My current hope is that we can successfully resist his gun control fantasies, so that we do not meet the fate of other disarmed and then oppressed societies.

  2. Certainly my Sister-in-Law thinks it would be a wonderful thing to only have to pay $3.00 for a doctor visit instead of the 20x+ price now, but she is so short-sighted that she doesn’t understand that that $3.00 will only cover bandaids and pain meds, instead of the wonder drugs she can get now. It also won’t be a full-on doctor she will see, only a Physician’s Assistant.
(I still think we got a physician’s assistant or a med student who made a housecall when my mother got sick in Austria lo these many years ago. He prescribed an anti-diarrhetic, which was probably the limit of his bag of tricks.

I try to stay optimistic Joe, but I fear you may be right. For every American who understands the importance of liberty and the failures of Socialism their are two more being indoctrinated by the left to believe that Socialism will save us.
