This is of no practical use to me but it might be of interest to a few of my readers:

Penis length cannot be determined by how big his hands or feet are — those and other supposed indicators have been widely discredited for years. But now a team of Korean researchers has produced what may be a more reliable guide: the ratio of the length of his index finger to that of his ring finger. The lower that ratio, the longer the penis may be, the researchers wrote Monday in the Asian Journal of Andrology.

That is the shorter the index finger in relation to the ring finger the more likely the man’s penis will be longer.

There is something else that ratio supposedly indicates:

The ratio of length between a man’s second and fourth fingers (2D:4D) is thought to be linked to the amount of testosterone he received in the womb. According to new research, it also shows something else: How attractive a man’s face will be to women.

The research looked at the relationship between the 2D:4D ratio, how attractive women thought the face was, and other signs associated with attraction and testosterone production: body smell and voice.

Men with a lower 2D:4D ratio (shorter pointer and longer ring fingers) were thought by the subjects to be more attractive, have more “masculine” features, and have more symmetrical faces.

  1. So I read the post, and immediately started looking at my hands. One hand has a much longer ring finger than index finger. The other hand has a ring finger that is just about the same length as my index finger.

Does this mean that my appearance and my penis length varies day to day, or what?

  2. So now I’m really confused. An excess of testosterone and a short penis length are supposed to be associated with an attraction to guns, according to authoritative sources like VPC and their ilk. But if the excess of testosterone results in a longer penis, how can this be so? Has anyone correlated gun attraction or aversion with the finger ratio?

Or should we just give the finger to the limp dicks who cast aspersions on gun enthusiasts and gun rights activists?

  3. It looks like my fingers are the same length. I’m scared to look any further.

Perhaps this explains my fascination with cars, bikes, things that make noises and boobies.

  4. Who studies this sort of thing? And why? And at who’s expense?

For every “study” there is another “study” that contradicts it, which is how “researchers” continue to get paid. Obviously though, we need more funding as more “studies” are in order. Shovel-ready jobs, folks, right there.

Hmm… my index fingers are considerably shorter than my 4th digits. Maybe that’s why I prefer a slightly shorter buttstock. The fact that I’m stunningly attractive to women (and extremely modest) probably has nothing to do with it though, except that we can all use the same carbines and we’re all happy. Come to think of it, some homosexual men find me pretty attractive, too. Does that count? Better fund a new “study” so we can be sure.

  5. My index finger and my ring finger are almost the same length, how does that compute?
Is the almost 1:1 ratio good or bad, how about a diagram or chart describing which ratios are better and which are worse.
! Crazy finger ratio math !
