  1. I believe Tar and Feathering arose from English Culture. But there are too many Politicians in Power today from Both Parties and all levels who think they are Roman Senators. I propose they receive a Roman Punishment instead.

    Crucifixion.

  2. I was watching a program on FOX where they were discussing the tea party and the debt limit. They repeated over and over again that the tea party didn’t want to “redistribute wealth” via taxes.

  3. Yikes! I hit something and that posted too soon! I hadn’t finished typing!

    Anyway…

In the back of my mind, I was thinking “Yeah. The tea party prefers to redistribute poverty.” Because that is what would happen if the debt limit didn’t get raised and if 80 million government checks failed to get mailed.

Don’t these idjits realize that we are all interconnected now? If 80 million people fail to get checks, those people won’t have money to shop in stores or buy fast food or pay rent or mortgages? Businesses can’t survive without customers, so a lot of them would close.

You can look at a city like Flint Michigan and see what happened when their major industry failed to give out checks. Everything closed.

  5. Wow! Everytime I hit Enter (to create a new paragraph) I posted on this board. I’m going to stop now while I’m ahead.

My whole point is that you can’t take away checks from a significant percentage of the population without hurting a much larger percentage of the population. It would be a “redistribution of poverty” because it would create so many more poor people.

  6. ubu, your mistake is not realizing that you were “ahead” before you started typing.

Joe, I’m all for the “Always Sunny…” method: the gorilla mask. Will it become illegal to be found carrying superglue and baggies of pubic hair in the near future…?
