Sent: Sunday, June 05, 2011 8:45 AM
To: joeh@boomershoot.org
Subject: large bomb.
i want to make a large bomb capable of taking down a large building. i have made HMTD and some other explosives before, but what would be the easiest way to make a bomb like this? could it fit inside a large rucksack?

Huh? Really?

I forwarded it to New Scotland Yard with the following:

  1. I’m not sure if I’m missing it, but unless the actual email you sent is different, you didn’t tell them what the email was about, just that you got an interesting email.

  2. Nevermind, I see what happened. You forwarded them that email WITH what you typed up. My bad.

  3. Snitch 😉 LOL
Seriously, good for you, bad for him. Some people truly lack brains and deserve what they get.

  4. Yes, yes he CAN really be that stupid.

Or, as I sometimes say, the bell curve goes a lot further to the left than you’d like to believe.

  5. I see the thread for the individual that was banned from boomer shoot is closed with the assumption that the RO that talked to the individual did not know he could ban the shooter.

In fact the RO that talked to the shooter did not ban the individual, it was someone that didn’t even know they were a RO at the time that was acting as a spotter for the shooter that after the event found that he had the power to ban the individual, that he didn’t like, on something that was already taken care of by one acting as a RO. Also the muzzle never was pointed at anyone else and was within the 2 feet of the line and was going to be cased. Yes turning around the wrong way around with the rifle pointed down was wrong, but to be banned for life?

  6. Re: Comment number one

So, clearly, the original emailer just misspelled “bong”.

i want to make a large bong capable of smoking out a large building. i have made MDMA and some other narcotics before, but what would be the easiest way to make a bong like this? could it fit inside a large rucksack?

    See? 😀

  7. LOL.. some people just aren’t too bright. It could be someone testing your security.. or it could be someone real. Either way.. I would have done the same thing. Wow you do get some strange email Joe. BTW.. any plans for the 4th? I finally got the funds for my project but I need to test it at least once after its completed. 🙂

  8. Infantryalltheway,
While your post is severely off topic, you are mistaken. The person was banned by Joe Huffman, the owner of this site, blog, and event coordinator of Boomershoot. Safety is a priority and always will be. As one of the ROs, I know what was going on (but was not involved directly). Just because one RO is done handling a situation doesn’t mean the situation isn’t going to be handled by another person additionally. If someone was acting dangerously with a firearm, there is no excuse and no second chance. Joe obviously thought a LOT about banning the person considering he was the first EVER to be given a lifetime ban. It was not because he was angry at him, but because he was a safety violator.

  9. I re-read the other post about the banning (hadn’t read it since the day it was originally posted) and I see that you are the person that was banned. It is unfortunate that a ban had to occur. I assume it was Ry that made the judgment call after the first RO stopped you. Despite an accusation of an RO having a personal vendetta, I do know for a fact that multiple ROs had been spoken to by people on all sides of you that you were a safety violator. It also will NEVER help your cause to trash talk those that run an event (Joe). I suggest you learn from mistakes that were made to ensure any future events you attend will be successful AND SAFE for all involved.

Remember, it takes 1 safety violation for a person to die. One. Single. Violation.
