Quote of the day—Clint Smith

You can say ‘stop’ or ‘alto’ or use any other word you think will work, but I’ve found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone’s head is pretty much the universal language.

[This is very similar to something Greg Hamilton said. I agree with both. If you need to stop an attack the one method that works more reliably than any other is a gun pointed at the attacker.—Joe]

  1. One reason why I don’t put much thought into verbal commands in a deadly force scenario. Does my attacker speak English? Are they in physical or mental state to understand commands (somebody who is hearing impaired, or just drugged to oblivion may not get the message)

If they don’t grasp the concept of a 0.452″ Bore Diameter, then they’ll have to learn from the impact…

I tend not to feel much sympathy for those who get deadly forced used upon them. One must make several VERY serious mistakes to justify lethal force, the infinitesimally small chance that they don’t really mean it isn’t worth much consideration.
