It’s all about feelings

Just as we have been saying for decades the anti-gun movement (is it still a movement when they have been constipated for several years?) doesn’t have the data so they go with what they have—feelings:

I believe the open carry movement is very intimidating,” said Suzanne Verge of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. “I think as a citizen I should be able to go along Colorado Boulevard and shop where I want to shop and not have to worry about running into somebody with a loaded weapon.”

I believe anti-gun activists are a threat to a free society. I think as a citizen I should be able to spend my time more productively than fighting them on a daily basis. And I want to have enough money in the bank that I never have to work again even if I were to buy all the ammo, guns, and explosives I wanted to shoot.

Just because someone wants something is not justification for the government to attempt providing it.

Update: John Richardson has things to say about Verge too.

  1. I am assuming she doesn’t want to run into someone with a loaded weapon because that person is obviously going to smell her fear and attack her with the gun. Afterwards dragging her corpse away to be eaten by the gun monsters pack of rabid children.

  2. I believe the integration movement is very intimidating,” said Suzanne Verge of the Campaign to Misogynation. “I think as a citizen I should be able to go along Colorado Boulevard and shop where I want to shop and not have to worry about running into a negro.”

  3. Then don’t worry about it. Take proper adult responsibility for your own feelings, instead of self-infantilizing yourself like that.

  4. If that’s so, why can’t we play that game? We feel safer when we have our trusty sidearms, ready for any occasion. We are offended when others try to infringe on our rights. etc. etc. Yet that doesn’t count. Clearly, that is either another meaningless rhetorical device intended to sucker the gullible or they are really saying that their feelings are more equal than ours.

  5. “…I should be able to go along Colorado Boulevard and shop where I want to shop and not have to worry about running into somebody with a loaded weapon.” Well, if that is what she wants, then she should inform her local Police Department about the days and times she’ll be shopping, and they can then tell that Shift assigned to Patrol Colorado to go on break out of her sight while she does her purchases. But if she runs into trouble, she doesn’t get to call 911. After all, she’s chosen to wear the Big Boy Pants, so I’m sure she needs no help from anyone with a Gun, correct? After all, if she had her way, we’d all be just like her, right? Stupid, Unarmed and at the mercy of Evil. What a way to want to live.
